TLDR: This game is like watered down kaizo levels, but in a good way.

Groovy is a precision platformer with extremely basic, yet very smooth and fluid controls. Your character is satisfying to control, and moving throughout levels is often rewarding. The game is short, consisting of about 3-4 hours of gameplay, with each level having one collectible you (usually) have to go out of your way for, giving levels replay value. There are some levels that can be quite frustrating due to a horrid lack of checkpoints, and a few irritating frame tight jumps that you will likely get stuck on for some time.

However despite the hiccups in level design, everything else about the game is quite polished. I'd definitely recommend this game to anybody who enjoys platformers, however the frame tight jumps might push people who are unfamiliar with platformers away. Definitely a solid game, 3/5.
