EDF! EDF! If you have played EDF before, that's this. The prologue is long, but after that it's the bug killing bot smashing fun you're used to. The best part is the Air Raider weapon rework. Their ability to do consistent damage and defend themselves has improved dramatically. The mission difficulty is kinda all over the place but I guess that makes things more interesting.

The Epic requirement, while no big deal to me, has a lot of people upset. However, I don't think this game deserves the hate. Maybe because I have such a soft spot for the B-Movie-ness of EDF.

Cool premise, cool setting, more fun than a lot of auto battlers/idle games. Adventure maps and fishing break up the main game if desired. Check it out!

IN THE NAME OF LIBERTY! MY LEG!!

Some people may be put off by this game still being in alpha but these devs are still pumping out updates, and significant ones at that. I've been burned out by survival/craft games but I keep coming back to this. If you're on the fence, or tried it a while ago and weren't thrilled, give it a shot.

These devs are alright in my book

I have been playing Borderlands since the original, and this is by far my favorite iteration of the solo campaign and friends you know. The moment I opened global matchmaking however, a player would join with a hacked/modded weapons. I don't care that people want to use those, i just wish I could filter that out in some way like how you could use modded weapons in battle.net back in original Diablo 2 days. I really want to say neutral but because I can't, enjoy the half-hearted recommendation.

I would only recommend this game to people that love this game

I cannot recommend this game. I pre-ordered and pre-loaded this game. I open up launch day, game opens and makes it to main menu, but as soon as I make any selection it throws the GW502 error. I chalked it up to launch day bugs and got a refund and waited for it to go on sale. Well this was that time, free week. I figured this was the perfect time to try again. Same issue. I followed the very limited suggestions on the support site and gave up. Looking at the average reviews at the time I'm writing this, I guess I'm not that disappointed.

My friends, this game is awesome. I've been playing for quite some time. The updates are satisfying and frequent. The proposed updates are all outlined, along with the progress, on their website.. Buy now! Do it! To hell with details. Throw moneys!
