As digimon fan i love the game but i cant recommend it to anyone who doesnt love digimon because the game itself is poorly made and feels very unfinished. So you need a lot of tolarance if you wanna play it.
The game has many positive parts but im just gonna point out some negative ones i found:

- the balancing is very off and feels like someone threw some dices.

- I myself play in german and the translation is really terrible

- A lot of functions get explained in the game but some important ones are not getting explained.

- The world map only works partial. If you play with controller you can access the map by pressing "start" but you cant access the world map on this way. If you press "Y" to open your "menu" and select "map" directly in the "menu" you end up on the same map as pressing start BUT you can scroll out to world map now.

- some wild digimon deal insane dmg so you are forced to block some moves. But sometimes your digimons react very slow or they dont react at all.

- fishing is a joke. You can get a tunafish which sells for i think 5000 bits quite early(rare fish). After unlocking a better rod, and new fishing places by playing the game aswell as new baits instead of better fish you most likely find up worse ones.

- the camera. As you progress in the game you will face one big problem: sight. Your 2 digimon partners will get really tall and block your sight. Sometimes you dont see npcs you wanna talk to and even worse, the combination of a bad camera angle aswell as your digimon size block your sight in fights. Sometimes you cant see what your opponent is doing. If you notice a incoming attack to late and cant block it anymore you take insane dmg or your digimon dies.

I could mention some more but i think you got a first impression.

The game is fun and has a long playtime so as true digimon fan you probably will like it. But the time between each digimon game release is very long and on release its expected to cost 60 €. I would expect the game to feel smoother and finished. Instead i got the feeling that they were running out of time and messed alot of stuff up.
