Hope you are well
Just informing you that notice must be given if you are unavailable to make a shift. It will be assumed that you will attend all rostered shifts if no communication is received.
It is unacceptable to leave mid-shift without finding a suitable replacement.
Our restaurant was left shorthanded and found ourselves unable to serve our customers to the high standards we hold ourselves to, resulting in early closure for the night.
No further warnings will be given, any further breaches of your employment contract will result in immediate termination.
Regards
Car Wash & Kebabs
You can't just say "I have an interview coming up" you have to say, I will not be available on this day at this time and if you schedule me I will not be able to come in for that shift. You should preferably do this in writing, if not in writing you should tell multiple managers to make it clear to multiple people that you can't work that shift.
You don't just bring it up once and wait until the day of to notify them. If anything you should of sat down with your manager the moment you found out you were scheduled on that day to avoid situations like this.
