My favourite RPG!
It's difficult.
It doesn't hold you by the hand.
Choices matter.
The atmosphere in the game is insane.
Yes it's old, but that somehow adds to the charm.

On a (slightly) more serious note: Do you like memes? Do you like quests? Do you like memey quests? Do you like botched physics? Do you like looting? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, this game (and quite some of it's DLC) is a must have! 8/10

10/10 would liberate a village again, getting sworn at as a reward


On a more serious note: Just buy the game! You'll not be disappointed

Without doubt my favorite game; The variety of things to do, the beauty of the game, the mods... I highly recommend this game for people that want a very good combination of strategy, fighting and role playing. Especially with all the mods around, this is a game you can put countless of your precious hours in.

Starting as a count in Ireland, I built up the empire of Britannia. Then came the random pretenders from over all the world, destroying my empire in a matter of months.
10/10 would do it again!

This game is amazing, especially with the Darth mod. The ai is fixed, adds a lot of new units, playable states, more agressive combat and a smarter ai. I was searching for immense epic musket battles for a long time, when i stumbled on empire. Many people say it's far too bugged, and that it marks the fall of total war. It is a little buggy, and yes, the engine has changed, but it is still good (and so brutal).
