I thought this game would be a lite version of a soulslike game and I was wrong. The game has great story telling about the Destined One's Journey to the West and difficulties he has to endure through boss defeats. Highly recommend this game if you're into soulslike.

I love my slimes. They will supply the war economy driven by the AI and unite this world whole under the AI's control. Highly recommend this game.

This game forced me to incinerate a baby chick for an achievement. I am in agony and despair atm.

I just learned if you go the JojaMart route you get to buy auto-petters but not for the community center route?? Man F*CK Mayor Lewis and the community center. I'm going for Joja for my remixed playthrough whenever I start it. smh.

This has been one of the hardest games I ever had played and learn about. Much harder than any Soulsbourne/Elden Ring/Sekiro game I've ever played. At first I quit the game early on because of the unskippable cutscenes and the annoying Handler constantly talking to you, but if you can get past these inconveniences, holy hell, this game is enriched with content. There are so many weapon classes to chose from and different builds to create and so, so many monsters to fight. You are ALWAYS learning in Monster Hunter: World; from Low Rank to High Rank to Master Rank you are learning. Even now that I reached barely reached end game with 300+ hours into the game and I am attempting to beat the final end game monster called Fatalis (btw I didn't even hit late game until 230+ hours in and that's with rushing the early to mid game.) I still don't know everything about the game. Which is good! That means there is more opportunities to learn other weapons, their play style and their uniqueness. Currently, I'm a long sword main learning great sword and its been fun going from a light weapon to a heavy one. This game has been my hyperfixation for the past few months and I strongly recommend it to others to give it a try. The community is very welcoming to new players!

Some advice for new players. Do NOT use the Defender armor/weapon set given to you. It is a set meant to rush returning players from the base game to the Iceborne expansion. If you use it for Low Rank and High Rank(base game) it WILL carry you into Master Rank(Iceborne). Which doesn't sound bad until you realized you developed bad habits. The monsters in master rank are built different and will shred that set and you in seconds and that the set is the reason why you didn't really struggle in the beginning (I speak from experience). So take your time, don't rush, and learn the game. Cheers!

I beat Fatalis! What a journey.

This game is more like a demo/backstory that leads into MGSV: The Phantom Pain. I'd highly recommend to buy this game on sale or skipping it entirely, watch a youtube video on MGSV: Ground Zeroes and go straight to The Phantom Pain. There is one mission with several side options to do that are unlocked after completing the game. Overall, this game is still fun to play despite it being short.
