Pretty weird but kinda funny game, I had a few crashes, which was surprising giving how simple to make this game is.
If the game seems interesting to you? I say go for it, there really isn't anything to hate here.

This is my favorite fallout, but the changes to a fully voiced MC, and a story that is set up in a way that roleplay becomes difficult unless you like the story ark like I did, it could very well ruin the experience if you came from previous Bethesda game studio games.
If you want something to hold you over before Starfield, "which is going back to Bethesda's roots", then it should still scratch that itch.

It was surprisingly good when it worked, but at the time of this mini review upload, it crashes upon launch now. Even with the unofficial patch.
First game that I have ever played, where it would randomly stop being playable.

I'm giving this a thumbs up because it is great fun, but there are some serious issues you should be made aware of before purchase.
On the loading screen make sure you don't hit delete on a save, because there is no confirmation and you will lose you're progress faster then you can say; "potion permit".
You're pinned quest menu is broken, a lot of the time it doesn't let you pin the current quest you want to complete, and will bounce back to some other quest upon exciting the screen.
You can only save when going to bed, so if you're game crash's after a extended day, you will lose everything and have to do it over.
I've only had it happen a few times, but it was thankfully at the start of the day. You're mileage may vary.
Who honestly still makes a game in this day and age, with the idea to only save at bed, and thinks that's a good idea? SMH...
I would wait to see if the dev fixes this issues before purchase.
As it stands right now? its a 7 out of 10.

The game is great fun and very chill, but the saving system is asinine and leaves the door open to a lot of problems.
Losing you're progress because you dropped the controller, or you're finger accidentally hits the delete key ""Not the actual delete key on you're keyboard mind you"" is straight up game breaking.
It thankfully hasn't happened to me yet, but it has happened to a lot of people.

"Final update" I last gave this a thumbs down due to losing a day bug, but this game really is quite charming and I don't feel right leaving there, for the loss of one single day...
So I changed it.

Great game at its core, with some really cool and unique RPG element's. Great combat, feels great to shoot though some enemy's will wear on you're nerves due to the limitations of old Western guns.
Story both main and side have interested me, as does the world of Weird West.
I love how characters dying can effect random events, also even key story members can die, by you're hand or not.
A small touch nobody talks about that I love about this game is you can bury people and animals, including fallen ally's.
Another thing I love is small but get's serious brownie points from me is? You can get arrested and either serve you're time, pay the fine, or my favorite, bust out and continuing rampaging across the world. Again all this can and will effect random events, very cool.
So now you're wondering, how can I thumb it down with all this praise?
Sadly the deal breaker is when you complete one of the 5 story ark's, you can never play as them again. Meaning that if you like one character? You can never go back unless you load a earlier save.
For me this automatically ruins the experience, once I reach my favorite character, I have little reason to go forward in the story because i'm not going to want to lose them. Even if the next character intrigues me, such as the last one.
This absolutely needs to be fixed in a update, if it does? I will come back and change my down vote.

I can't believe the dev was so blind to think this was a good idea, after all the great ideas brought to life here....
I'm not sure how to score this, had that oversight not happened? I would give this a 9 out of 10, or 4 out of 5.
Now??? Well like I said that pretty much blows off the head of the hunt, now I have just a carcass with a gaping hole where the head should be, thus rendering the trophy useless and unsatisfactory to look at.

I'll say first that this is a lot of fun, but there is a huge caveat that makes me scratch my head on why this game is so highly scored on here.
First the controls are wonky, the camera is deeply infuriating, and the chaos everyone keeps praising? Well...
Its so random, that anything no matter how unsensible, things happen.
Example; you can be winning most if not all you're matches, make the company tons of money, make you're brand the top and even be friends with the shot callers. And still get told its not working out, and get contradictory contracts.
Not to mention the friend system is completely broken.
To sum it all up? If It didn't have those issues I mentioned, it would be a absolute must buy. Because its roleplay elements are definitely there, and you're career goes on for how ever long you can maintain you wrestler, unlike the licensed games, where there is an end to the story.
Even the graphics suit this game, had they been better? It would ironically hurt this game, because of everything on the screen that's happening.
If I could give this a middle of the road thumbs, I would.
If I was the dev? I would stop adding pools and places to fight, and make the AI and RNG, A little bit more realistic first. Because that and fighting the camera, really ruins this title for me personally.

This is a easy game to review and recommend.
First stay away from the switch version, I've played both extensively and the PC port is perfect.
I enjoyed my time with this on switch, but the lag was indeed very noticeable.
On PC? Its like a brand new game, so don't sully you're opinion on this from the switch.
Outside my praise for how well done this pc port is, here are my other highlights.
The story is actually pretty good, the combat is fun, I love the art direction, it brings back my nostalgia for my first; harvest moon save the homeland, "weird comparison I know", but that's just how it feels for me.
I love all the character's in rf5, so much so that I know exactly what answers to give during harvest festivals. Something that I've never been able to quite grasp in previous installments, like my beloved rf4.
Now the bad...
You're MC talks too ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ much, example you want to water you're crops one by one right? well you will be plagued with; IT'S WATERING TIME!, GROW UP BIG AND STRONG OK?, HOPE IT COMES OUT OK? Rinse and repeat quite frequently I can manage it, by making fun of it. but when fishing??? LETS CATCH A BIG ONE, EASY DOES IT, and lastly, HOPE I GET A BITE. Every.... Single.... CAST!!!
It throws off my timing, and ruins the relaxation of fishing. I can't fish in this game without thinking of RDR2 fishing for some reason lol.
Decorating you're room is terrible as well, Everything you place will be a good 2ft away from the wall, so there is a ugly awkward space between everything and you're wall. On Switch you had to glitch the game to fix it, on PC you can do that or mod it. RF4 had a similar issue, but being top down allowed a little more freedom to aligned everything, not much but still.
While on the topic of houses.... You stay in Seed's "you're organization barracks" Top floor. No door between the main hall and you're floor. Yet one of you're potential love interest, gets her own room with a door, as does you're captain, on the main floor.
How the hell are you supposed to make baby's like this???
You kinda have to turn off you're brain and pretend, there is some kind of barrier between the twist staircases between yours and the main hall.
As a result it never really feels like you're own home, after you finish the main story, you can buy a house, but it only counts as a secondary home, and is not much better.
I love Rune factory 5, but this issues keep it far from near perfection. The Goodnews? All are easily fixed in Rune Factory 6.
There are some other little bits of good and bad, like the size of the map, how lived in it feels, and the speed of how time goes by, but their more debatable between what people will like or dislike, this were just my in general highlighted thoughts.
Should you purchase Rune Factory 5? I'm biased here because I love this series, and I own stock in Tencent. "Their owner"
But yes I think you should, if you like games like Stardew valley, Story Of Seasons ect and want more games like it.
Just keep some of this issues in mind since they do keep this game from being the best in the series.
My Final score is: 8 out of 10.
This was never going to be able to reach 10, but it could and should have made 9, but the Housing / Decorating issue's really hurts this title in a big way. and the repetitive dialog, "especially when fishing". Can really annoy the crap out of you.

When it comes to CRPG's the only one's I have ever enjoyed are divinity original sin, wasteland series, and now pathfinder. I don't know why but Pillars of Eternity just can't keep me interested in their world.
Anyway this is a huge game, it can take anywhere from 80 to 100 hrs.
Their is a lot of dice rolling behind the scene, so it can get frustrating at times, and the kingdom management is pretty light, but I still enjoyed it. Also i'm not sure how? But the RNG seems to be the most fair I've ever seen, I f'ing hate RNG and it ruins a lot of great games, but here? It just felt fair somehow. You know when you save scum a 80% chance compared to a 20% chance? Most games seem biased to fail. Meaning that 80% will fail a hell of a lot more then 20% succeeds.
Not here, 20% still fails like you would expect, but 80% rarely fails. That alone impressed the hell out of me, it shouldn't but it did.
The story was well done, and choice consequences felt just enough right. I played a benevolent sorcerer king and I felt like I was making my subjects lives easier and happier, and my ending reflected just that.
So yeah I loved Pathfinder: Kingmaker and wholly recommend it. Just go into this knowing it is deep, and will require a build guide of some sort to not break you're game hours into it.
8 out of 10.

This was about to get a positive review because its a lot of fun, but then the 4th mission "Showtime" happened.
Long story short, and....... ""Light Spoilers"" you unrealistically have to defuse a bomb in 4 minutes with only you're partner. Not a bomb squad or with a EOD specialist. Just you and a beat cop, I guess you have to beat one of the suspects before arrest to find the code? IDK after I tripped on a trap or something I said screw this game i'm done.
I could just hack the game and get past this ridiculous BS mission, but 1. that ruins the challenge, and 2. its unlikely to be the last time I see something like this again.
I can't score it because obviously I didn't finish it, I would refund it because at this time I have just under 2 hours and just picked it up. But the developer seems like a decent person and I did buy this on discount so....
I'll just fail it and move on.

This is my first Dark Souls like game, and yes it is hard, and yes it is as good as its so often praised.
I don't really know how to review this one in depth, as its something you need to see with you're own eyes to understand, and I don't usually like this style of games either.
The big take away's though is: Combat is so good, The horse combat in particular is something other devs will need to take notes from, because this is how it is done right.
The most beautiful dark twisted world I have ever seen.
So many enemy variety's, you won't be left wanting here, that's for damn sure.
I don't like games that are this hard, yet I really like Elden Ring.
Honestly this game is going to be GOTY for 2022.
9 out of 10.
