This game is one of the best experiences I had this year.
The mechanics are quite smooth and intuitive, while still encouraging creative thinking. The final battle especially had me rewinding and refining my every move. Knocking enemies out of windows or into holes was fun, with the variety of mobility and displacement tools the game provides. The rewind feature makes the game half puzzle. IMHO it's also a great feature to bring in people who never tried X-Com like combat, since no mistake is permanent. In a sense save-scumming is part of the gameplay-loop.
The game also respects your time. You can skip levels you are stuck on, revisit earlier levels, and replay it from wherever you want.
The art style is quite cute and does the job along with the really creative character and world design. The integration of magic, wands and staves into a modern military aesthetic is really unique.
Dialogue is surprisingly good
No micro transactions or ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, just a wonderful package made by passionate people
You owe it to yourself to try if you even just dabbled into any turn based strategt

This game is so bad that i fell i need to post a pancake recipe so you feel better after playing this:

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 1/4 cups milk 1 egg
3 tablespoons butter, melted

Preparation:

In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Make a well in the center and pour in the milk, egg and melted butter; mix until smooth.
Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides and serve hot.
Add toppings of choice
