Well this is a tough one. This IMO is the greatest game of all time. Its special in so many ways that I just can't describe. Whether it be the intoxicating music, the diverse characters, the intriguing plot. I can't really say enough good things about this game. However, this port has to be worked on a bit to get it to a state where I remember it. First off the game is a port of the mobile game and as such has some major issues. First its the controls I highly recommend using Xpadder for this game with the controller of your choice. Second is the sprites they don't look right luckily we have a great modding community working on this as I speak to make this game the definitive version of FF 6.

So even though this game has problems the modding community will fix most of them and has fixed some already. Highly recommend if you haven't played this game already do so now especially with the modders working hard to make this the best version!

If you like the first AVGN game you will like this one. This iteration is a bit easier than the last game and more forgiving with less death blocks, refillable lives, shorter levels but more levels, and a sweet powerup system which takes the place of the other characters from last game. There are even levels based on the Nerd movie.

Nice little references from Ghosts and Goblins to TMNT this game has pretty much what you would expect from an AVGN game. If you are a fan then you won't be dissapointed. In short "Its not a ♥♥♥♥ load of ♥♥♥♥"

How can you release a game without all the content that was promised? We only get the first two films and miss out on the finale which had the most action. Hey, that makes perfect sense! I see where the Lego franchise is going now with the money grabbing Lego Dimensions.

Early Access Review
Ok, I don't usually take the time to write a review unless a game really grabs me either in a very negative or positve way. This game is very unique if I had to describe it I would say take some Doom fps gameplay mix in some Silent Hill inspired monsters, add some Spelunky and you have UNLOVED. First and foremost this game is still in Early Access so many more things are getting added and the dev is very receptive to the community which is always a good sign and he does frequent dev videos. Another good sign is that this dev loves his game and you can tell by watching his vids and how he is polishing his game.

Graphics: The graphics are gritty and have a very dark and disturbing feeling. If you have ever played Condemned then thats what you can expect. The game is dark but you have a flashlight that never runs out. The monsters look good enough while the animations are nothing ground breaking they get the job done but this games other strengths make you forget about the subpar animations.

Sound: OMG this is one of the games biggest strengths. The ambient sounds are top notch and the guns also sound good. Every monster has a distinct sound and you had best learn them to know what is coming and how to deal with it.

Gameplay: Ok this is why I love this game so much. This is not just a generic fps. Oh no this game is vastly different from fps that you have played. What makes it unique is that it has interesting mechanics. For example the spawning is determined by how much ammo and items you grab or how many doors you open. There are hidden items in the levels and they are different everytime you play which gives it that Spelunky feel. You can play a daily seed as well. While the layout of the levels is the same the location of the items are not. You have to beat the level to gain karma which you use to buy certain upgrades. I am not sure how to level up yet. I think it has to do with certain items you collect. You can pick up items in the levels to help you such as gun mods and totems. Gun mods give you certain upgrades but only for your current play session while totems give you special abilities like being able to see the monsters on your radar. You do get permanent upgrades called trinkets which you have to earn by beating levels.

Difficulty: Yeah you are going to die in this game even on the easiest difficulty. There is no respawning, no reg health and once you die thats it permadeath ftw unless you play coop then your parter can revive you. The monsters can corner you very easily and the maps are tight so you won't have much room for error.

Overall I highly recommend this game if you like challenging fps and rouge lights because its the best of both worlds. Right now there are only 2 maps but he is working on more and there is up to 4 player coop.

Wolfenstein: The Old Blood is a prequel to Wolfenstein the New Order in which B.J has to inflitrate castle Wolfenstein in order to obtain the secret documents showing the location of the nazi base at the beginning of New Order. There are a few new mechanics like climbing walls cool retro levels that are hidden in each level. The game play is fast and responsive there is just something about taking heads clean off nazis that is so damn satisfying. The story is ok until chapter 6 which made me do many face palms and stare at the screen in disbelief. I really couldn't have been more disappointed in what i saw in chapter 6. I still like the game and the challenge mode adds more value to this 20 dollar title which is more than worth it. If you liked New Order you should definitely shell out the 20 for this title.

I am so happy that we have got not only an american football game on pc but that we have devs that are open to any suggestions you make. The game is fun for what it is and the game will be fully moddable in the future just basic mods available now. For now don't expect a full simualtion football game just expect a fun arcade style game in the vein of Tecmo Bowl with an innovative passing feature that can only get better with time. Support this game and lets see it grow.

This is a classic case of having a great concept but not having either the talent or the resources to make it happen. This game is flawed beyond belief in its current state. The devs seem to want the game to succeed but i just don't have faith anymore. Save your money and wait a few years to see if this game even gets finished.

"We are going to die" (Indiana Jones Temple of Doom) Yes, you are going to die in this game about every 10 to 20 secs upon entering a new level. The levels are not random but there are brutal none the less. This is a side scrolling 8 bit platform game which requires you to pretty much memorize the stages because the you will never know what to expect. The ceiling may come falling down or spikes may come out of a block you just never know what is going to happen. Trial and error is the name of the game here. If you like games like Spelunky, Super Meatboy, Braid ect. Then you are going to love this game i sure do. Not for the faint of heart just for the persistent hardcore. Highly recommmend!
