I enjoyed your video and admire the effort that went into it, but I disagree with your idea on using the crusader's crossbow vs other syringe guns.

While I agree the crossbow is probably the best primary the Medic has, I don't agree with the playstyle it encourages. The crossbow encourages using it for burst healing from either a distance or close by, but what happens if you miss? Your target might have survived if you had been healing him with the medigun rather than trying to hit your bolts.

I'll admit it does have insane clutch potential, which is seen in the clips you showed, but those are usually few and far between for more mid-skilled Medic players; even high skilled Medic players have a chance of missing and wasting their time due to the nature of unpredictable teammate movement and projectiles. It takes time away from healing and building uber to try for those clutch shots on overextended teammates. It's not worth the time spent for such a small chance of success.

Personally, I only ever shoot the crusader's crossbow if I am either positive I can hit the shot, or I have no other choice. I'm not going to waste my time trying to hit an overextended scout when I could just keep healing my teammates on the front lines.

I do use the crusader's crossbow mainly, but I do often switch it out for one of the syringe guns because of their consistent damage output; what I mean by that is if you miss your crossbow in a 1v1 scenario you have to wait for the full reload animation before you can fire again. Meanwhile, the syringe gun is far less punishing for missing shots as you have so many to fire.

tl;dr trying to hit crossbow bolts can waste time; the medigun is more reliable.
