Lots of variant foes, elites and bosses (you will easily hate Elves, especially in groups !).

The biggest difference with Slay-the-spire and others are the equipments (weapon, shield, helmet, boots, armor, gloves etc), which could easily give you the opportunity to make you win easier the battles (or the opposite).

The start is pretty tedious because you usually can't buy a lot of stuffs in shops (except potions)...but the most important is equipments (weapon and armor first...but there is also complete armor set that gives you powerful combination ! Of course it's hard to get a complete one) .
Also, you could earn some equipment(s) after some events or battles (elites if I'm correct but not only).

What could also be fun (but rare) at times is special events and depending what you answer, the battle will be different !
For instance if you are on Dwarf side, you lead the battle with 2 other dwarves against a Big Bear...or else you battle against dwarves (alone).

Sure cards are important too but not as much as your equipment (or what I feel and read it elsewhere too on the forum (people claim that without good equipment, they wouldn't have beat some levels / game).
Forget to mention that each equipment parts are visible on your character !

So far I only could beat level 1, once...It gets hard faster on level 2.
Anyways (and despite some little rant)...it still fun to come back to a run (and multiple times).
