I'm aware of the performance issues people had complained about, but I personally didn't experience them. I've absolutely loved the game and 100% recommend to those who have played the first one. It's an absolute joy, and everything great about the first game is amplified in this one.

Game itself is ticking just about every box I could ask for. Id give this a 10/10 if it weren't for 2 things holding it back, one of them I'd consider to be pretty major.

1. This is minor, but the voice acting is bare minimum. This is only a personal gripe for me

2. Character customization is an absolute joke. They mentioned inclusivity, when in actuality you get non binary or female options. There is no actual masculine options. Your hair is tied to body type, larger body gives longer hair and smaller body gives the tied up version. All armors are non binary that lean pretty heavily on the feminine side, at least from the 4 I've seen so far.
If they let us have actual customization options for our characters and not just color combos for hair, skin and eyes I'll be happy and this review will change. Until then it's a 6/10. With the lack of options dropping it by 3 and the lacking VA being a 1.

Overall, if you're looking for an adventure with housing/farming that lets you dungeon crawl this is a great pick. If you're wanting to build your character to how you want, then this ain't it. And hopefully square is reading through the reviews to put something in the game. Obviously the models exist as a shop keeper has the male body options, and there's dozens of hair styles, and even some beard options. No reason for them not to let the player have access to them.

I know this game had stutter issues for a lot of people, but I never ran into the issue. 96 hours in, I've finally beaten the main story and gotten one of the endings. I never really liked souls games, but something about this one really gripped me in and just kinda kept me in. I 100% recommend this game if it's something you think you'd enjoy.

100% recommend this game. you get to play a better pokemon game but in the monster hunter universe. it's absolutely an amazing experience. The only down side is it's highly addictive.
