Very fun. A lot funner with friends, but totally enjoyable solo. The building system is incredibly easy and smooth to use. Combat feels good, spells feel genuinely powerful. The bosses feel very interesting and are (mostly) fun to fight.

Only complaint is I'm not really sure what exactly the overall story being told is.

I love this game. I've gotten over 200 hours of incredible enjoyment out of it. I love Arrowhead and what they're doing with the game.

What earns this a negative review:
SONY. First and foremost, SONY doing what SONY does that nobody asks for. As of this Edit, SONY has walked back their PSN requirement but I'm not letting them off the hook for it just yet. Going to wait a while and see if they try any sneaky ♥♥♥♥ once the dust settles, as they have the tendency to do when they think people have forgotten.

From Arrowhead, the behavior of their community managers in regards to this situation has been entirely and absolutely unacceptable. They've done nothing but stoke the flames and that is despicable for someone in their position. I hope Arrowhead takes a better look at who they have in these positions on their Discord going forward.

Aside from the fact it's very obviously an extremely horny game, it's actually extremely fun. Unironically enjoyed the gameplay more than anything. Highly recommend.

I can't recommend this game enough. Words don't do it just it. Buy it, play it, you won't regret it.

So. Many. Unresolved. Bugs.

I literally uninstalled this game over a year ago because I couldn't even load it. Get in, make character, and as soon as I try to load into the map... Fatal Error crash with no information. Again and again and again.

Reinstalled the game again a year or so later. The same problem. Still no fixes. Nothing from the devs. I'm sick of this ♥♥♥♥.

So... more than 200 hours in the game and almost every achievement achieved and I have to say, this was by far my favorite of all the Civilization games to date. To me, it feels good, it plays good, it looks good. Unfortunately, the devs kinda did it dirty by releasing a single expansion for it, then ditching it entirely so that's a bit of a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, but I honestly just love this game. I recommend picking it up whenever you can and really playing it. Pay attention to the lore, the world, the factions. It's great!

Honestly, this is a beautiful game and the artists deserve a lot of love, but I cannot in good conscience recommend this game with the amount of griefing that is not only allowed, but ENCOURAGED in this game. The fact it's even permitted in cooperative game modes is asinine.

Until Rockstar pulls their heads out of their asses, don't buy this game.

Actually just ♥♥♥♥ this game. It's not worth playing in multiplayer. Play singleplayer, enjoy the story and the amazing world the artists have built, but ♥♥♥♥ multiplayer. Constantly getting griefed and harassed by parties of several players when I'm just trying to literally ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ anything, and there's no consequence for it. None. Nada. Zilch. ♥♥♥♥ that. ♥♥♥♥ this game.

Another game with insane potential that has been completely abandoned by devs that don't care. As much as I'd like to recommend the game..I just can't. Maybe buy it on sale for $5 for a few hours of unique enjoyment, but I wouldn't give this studio any of your money for this abandoned, half baked project.

I dunno. It's a pretty game if you ignore the terrible animation quality for anything outside of combat. Beyond that... this game really has no excuse to be the way that it is in 2022. Maybe if this was released in 2012 I'd be like "Yeah, this game's pretty great! Cutting edge, even!"

But it's 2022. There's just... not excuse for a game to be this poorly done. They clearly focused on the combat and nothing else.

I guess the one plus side is that it's free. If you want a brainless, mediocre hack and slash game that doesn't cost you a dime, then go ahead and sink a few hundred hours into this game but don't give it a single penny.

It's so hard to put my feelings about this game into words so I'll summarize it at this: I have not legitimately enjoyed a game in a very very long time as much as I do this game. This game is such an astounding accomplishment, and absolutely deserves every single purchase. Buy it, play it, get your friends to buy it, and have a blast. You won't regret it.
