A game I have had a blast in. Hopefully the devs will be allowed to just make a good game and not have any corporate meddling come out of nowhere to ruin things.

I really don't understand how anyone likes games like this. I play games to have fun, and yet every time I try a souls game it wants to waste my time and patience by being brutally difficult. I don't care if there's a rich story if I have to die 100 times against regular enemies. I get no satisfaction from killing bosses that can 1-2 shot you, it always feels like a cheap death with the potential to strip everything from you. I have a job, and a life I'm trying to live, I don't have time for this bs.

I had high hopes for this game based on the footage on the store page. And then I played it. Red flags are going off in my head as a badly compressed intro video begins to play in a monitor stapled to head kind of way instead of the scene playing around you, but judging by whatever engine is running this that probably was out of the question. One of the first things I notice once I'm dropped into the world is that it can't seem to know what to render at any given time, textures pop in and out as they pleased. Then I fire the laser gun. There's no animation when it fires. Just a few LED's light up on it, making it look and feel like a cheap toy. The other guns aren't much better, the wrist blade has no impact, but how could they when the enemies simply woosh into existence, and seem to only fire at my feet for some reason. One of the larger enemies had no eye's, not that they were removed in some sick ritual or sewn shut, but rather there was no model there, I can see right thru his head, and I'm pretty sure I'm not supposed to do that. Shortly after a few repetitive fire fights I got to the first ammo station and the game crashed. One hard reset later I go back into the game, played for another 5 minutes, got to another ammo station, and the game crashed again. I'm disappointed, but it's fine, I'm getting this refunded. I hope that if the developer see's this that they don't assume I'm just bashing a game. Making games is hard, but a game should be fun to play, and in vr sometimes it takes a lot of little things to make an experience just good, and a lot of things going perfectly to make them feel great. This game feels like an alpha build, that with a lot of work could be good, but in it's current state I would avoid.

Only took me 5 minutes to see that this game is half baked. Graphics are ok, voice work is serviceable, but the music is pretty generic, gameplay doesn't not feel good. Hits have no impact, backgrounds are bland, I'm getting this refunded. It honestly front like a Chinese VR cellphone game, could be better in the future but for now, avoid.

Hands down the best VR campaign out right now, Valve blew it out of the park with this one. Not perfect, but damn close to it.

A damn great unofficial remaster of the original Half-Life, years of work have paid of incredibly. I played this back in 2014, and seeing it finished now and being such a love letter to the original is amazing. Glad they were able to finish it, they earned my money and my respect.

Just finished the game and I think its safe to say that its one of the best I've ever played. Do yourself a favor and experience what fps should have evoled into. Fantastic game, I can't wait till the next game from these guys.
