I have been waiting for this game ever since it came out on greenlight over a year ago, checking each month to see what progress was made. Let me just say that this game was worth the wait. I am a big fan of 'pixel games' and this game is no exception. The game has captured the theme of living in a prison very well, making you want to escape from the dreadful prison!

This game very enjoyable as is both fair and difficult. Although it can be a real challenge to escape the prison, the general gameplay is simple and lets you choose how you want to play. With very simple guidlines and controls, you get a hang of the game in a flash. You can either escape through the vents, tunnel underground, obtain fake keys or now, with the new update, beat down all of the guards! The escaping part of the game is the hardest and very intense.

This game does currently have only 1 prison to escape from, but I am sure that there will be more prisons in the future as they are frequently updating the game. The most recent update allowed more ways to escape as well as new uniforms to enhance the way you play. The crafting aspect of the game is incredible. With countless things availiable to craft, you can either discover the vast diversity of crafting through crafting notes, or steam guides :). With the developers working on the game at an outstanding pace, there will for sure be way more crafting options, as well as new items, then there are now.

Games with good AI are the ones that stand out for me, and this is one of them. The prisoners have their own way of doing things with there personal opinion on you. They may fight you if you have done things that they don't like which have stacked up, or join you in fighting guards if you help them enough. They have challenges for you which you can do for money, in which you can buy vital items you need to escape with. I'm am sure with the new updates that come that these inmates will continue to become more intelligent and my even try to escape from you.

Being a Prison Architect fan, the idea of being an actual prisoner inside the game itself was fasinating. This game really pulled it off well, as the gameplay, AI and content all added up to this game being a thriving success. This game will continue to get better and better as the updates continue to improve the game. It deserves more popularity that is has in my opinion.
