This game is well worth it----- 7/10 (and could be a 10 one day)

I have around 20 hours in the game so far and I expect I could play maybe 10-12 more until the game receives an update. But what is shown so far is very promising. A massive congrats to the developer, Greg, for his work.

Graphics and Performance: The game looks amazing and the game is wonderfully animated. On my somewhat ageing system I am able to get a consistent 90 FPS (1440p, 3600X, 2070). There is some stuttering upon notifications loading when you have a large town but isn't too bad.

Gameplay: Now I haven't had much time in the combat so far but there are some issues. I won't delve too deeply in the context of a review but some rebalancing adjustment to the AI would improve it. However it is currently charming, novel and dynamic and adds some extra difficulty and fun to the base game experience. On to this, the progression seems fair paced expansion-wise. There is a number of 'tech' trees to explore. Building is a breeze and charmingly randomly generated/customizable allowing uniquely organised villages. The simulation needs a little work but there is a very sound base here.

I'm looking forward to this as a fan of city-buildings in general, this game seems like a spiritual successor to banished for example and has an extremely robust start for a game is early access. I have faith the developer has the drive and ambition to continue improving and commend him for his dedication over the past several years.

The concept is fun but this game has way too much chance in it. Very annoying when you attack a place 6 times overseas using 24 gold to do so and then the computer does the same in one go.
