I will list some logical improvements the game can benefit from:

- Not having date is a questionable design decision. There is no indication on what the upkeep is for (days, weeks, months?), how long constructions take, wars, servitude.. Add the fact that only the royal family ages through generic stages.. In a game where diplomatic missions, economic investments and wars take place, the omission of time and date replaced by a useless timer telling you how long you've been playing is puzzling.. I can't stress enough how essential for a modern historical strategy game to have that..
Seasons change and their effects would be a bonus.. We know how seasons and weather can affect outcomes of wars and battles and how vital it is to plan ahead.

- There is also the Age of discovery tradition that requires you hitting some milestones to get benefits to your sailing armies by faster and more efficient ship building in a game where there are no ships? Instead, your army transforms into vessels, cross the sea then back to soldiers. It renders the aforementioned tradition, ports, the economic and planing of waging a war across the sea superficial.. I'd like to see more attention to details and some realism and challenge added to this front.

Mainly these two points are my main issues that i would really love to see addressed by the developers with an otherwise solid game that achieved a lot of what other similar games struggled with..

The devs were set to achieve an unprecedented level of realism in a survival game, making no compromise in the level of details on both graphical fidelity and gameplay depth!

The early access is taking longer than i initially anticipated and surely there is still a lot of work before the game hit its promised state.. Though there is a noticeable improvement on the smoothness of play and optimisation (moving the project to UE5 is a great news too!), the gameplay deviated a bit of the initial trajectory.. We can only hope that things fall into place eventually and I for one can’t wait for the story, remaining features and the final release!

Finally, I know a lot of people can get impatient with early access.. But to put things into perspective , the Scum devs are doing an amazing job on the progress of the game and communication with the fan base (especially when you compare it with other popular project that have existed for longer and have less ambition yet being in a worst place than Scum, EFT comes to mind.. M&B Bannerlord also comes to mind as that game progress since launch is awful.. Though it is a totally different genre..).

Hence, stay positive! And to the devs: Keep up the amazing work focus on your dream game and hopefully we will hit the final release together and experience the best this game can offer!

Game was big fun to play!

Pros:

- Very atmospheric and immersive.
- Very enjoyable gunplay and sound.

Cons:

- Can be a bit clunky and look a bit outdated due to the engine used..

Summary:

For the price it retails for, it is definitely a worth it experience!

Needless to say BVSED J.Gibson is free to express his views. Killing the innocent is a crime not a liberty.

As someone who played Scum and Escape From Tarkov, I really love what Deadside is trying to do!

Overall this build is solid for a pre alpha/alpha? build and I am definitely looking forward to seeing how it will progress with time!

The biggest pros so far:

- NO ZOMBIES!!!
- No offline raids.
- Active AI NPCs.
- Safezones with private storage.
- Friendly community.

Suggestions:

- Wildlife and ability to fetch food from the wild (meat, fruit for hydration..). Sometimes food is hard to come by and forces the player to either fill inventory slots with food before heading out or rushing back to the safezone.. Also it would be natural to have those in the wild.
However I can also see the appeal of the current system in providing risk/reward scenario..
- Whatever you do please don't add Zombies!! :))

Thank you Devs for the hard work! Please keep it up!

Very good shooter that balance realism with arcade. It is very simplistic but definitely has a steepish learning curve.. Depends which game you come to it from..

The Devs have improved the game a lot since the beta and are continuing to do so. Keep up the good work.

Very ambitious and unique game, executed in an amazing manner. Very creative and hard working developer (original creator of the game) and his team.

Not enough additions.. I suggest they focus on expanding on the main campaign and flesh it out first.. More starting lords, more portrait, more features..

Instead of pushing these half assed dlcs so often, make a worthwhile expansion that actually improve and expand the game..

Thank you to all the TaleWorlds team for all their hard work, commitment and innovation. And to the game director in particular for holding true to his vision improving on an already solid ground the game was built on and innovating further. This series is the closest thing to my childhood dream game and Mount & Blade 2 Bannerlord the shaping up to be the best in the series on completion of the development. I am looking forward to TW keeping up their hard work and commitment and further improving the game even after it goes gold, thank you again and best of luck on the road ahead.

As for the game review, it is basically what it is advertised as.. Watch some gameplay videos I guess..

Update: After over a year almost nothing major has been added or significantly improved.. At this rate we will probably have to wait for years before we finally get the Bannerlord we all dreamed about, if we'll get it at all that is..
