As a Kruber main, I believe that this career is actually one of the best classes to use for him. Grail Knight gives him an interesting way to play the game, since the quests he gets are beneficial to the whole team, and they're easy to complete. They usually boil down to "Kill this many mobs" or "Find one tome", which is easy and gives an even bigger incentive to collect the tomes and grimoires. I feel that this also helps newer players to seek out the grimoires and tomes, since they get both better loot and a team-wide buff.

The new weapons released with this DLC are great, since the Bretonnian Longsword gives a riposte effect with heavy attacks that can help to block attacks that you would normally have to cancel your attack for. The sweeping strikes of the first two light and heavy hits also help to clear out hordes fast, and can also be used well with Mercenary to proc his passive. The Bretonnian Sword and Shield feel more satisfying to use that his other sword and shield, however they felt slower that the other set. I mainly used it to block Ratling Gunners and the flamers, but I can see it being used well for something like Foot Knight.

His Blessed Blade is strong and comes back fast, so using it on smaller enemies isn't detrimental, unlike some of the other class special attacks in the game. Each of the last talents can be used effectively with him too, unlike some of the talents for his other classes. Overall, the career is great and easy to use. I ran the career on about half the maps in the game, and it felt good to use on each one due to the quests and damage that the class has. The major downside to the class is the lack of ranged weapons, since if you run this with Slayer and Sienna with the flamethrower staff, your team will be severely lacking in range.

I saw some people commenting on the lack of changed voicelines, too, but when I ran this career I got a lot of new voicelines. There's no changes to voicelines about the maps, but he has different lines for pinging health, taking gas damage, etc. I think people were mostly annoyed he wasn't doing a Bretonnian accent, which is fair, but they were claiming there were no new lines at all. The "peasant" lines he has are good, but the lack of a response to being called a peasant isn't there; I expected it when he said it to Kerillian, but she didn't address it at all.

The main problem with the DLC is the one everyone is talking about: the fact that FatShark made the cosmetics a different bundle with their own price tag. This is a fair complaint, since I don't agree with it either, but the base career is only $3.99. Do you need cosmetics to play the game? They give no advantages, so no, it is not required. The cosmetics in this game are basically recolors anyways, so you really don't need the cosmetics. You do have to unlock a lot of the cosmetics, though, so that is another downside. I looked in the cosmetic store before writing this, and you could unlock more cosmetics there, so don't freak out too much.

tl:dr The career is solid and rewarding, but the main downsides are no range, the cost for both the DLC and Cosmetic DLC, and the fact you have to unlock the best cosmetics.
