If you're serious about wanting to be a part of it and not just making a joke, then I can make some great recommendations for someone just getting into the genre. Obviously, you can start with the absolute classics like Lizzie McGuire or Even Stevens because watching the newer series after one of these really gives you an appreciation for the format they set up. Shia Lebeouf san and Hillary Duff san stand as classic examples of what really makes these shows great. However, my recommendation for your first time is the same one you'll hear from everyone. Yes, the anime (and subsequent ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Nintendo DS adaptation) have become sort of a meme in the anime community, but for good reason. Cory in the House is a shining star and the ultimate in the Disney lineup in pretty much every aspect. The animation is fantastic and really shows its strengths through Cory's classic budget smiles. The voice acting is phenomenal and is one of the few shows that I recommend you watch with subs instead of dubs (nothing beats Cory's original VA saying his catchphrase "You know how I do!"). The writing is amazing with Cory's various money-making schemes rivaling those found in the classic American cartoon Ed, Edd, n Eddy; not to mention the fact that the show takes place in the White House! And to top it all off, Cory in the House has the best opening theme of any anime I have ever heard. Also, remember that this anime, a spinoff of That's So Raven, is better than most of the original Disney shows. You really can't go wrong with most Disney shows but my recommendation has to go to Cory in the House. Whatever you choose to watch though, remember to have fun!
