Respawn: "We're greedy af and don't like that players aren't paying for our premium pass and just earning it through free coins - we're not going to let you buy the premium pass for Apex Coins anymore, and adding a premium+ pass for the whales that's twice as expensive. If you want the premium pass you need to give us $10 and the plus version is $20, every 3 months."

Players: "That's stupid, we'll just not play the game and give it a bad review."

Respawn: "Wait no! Come back! We changed our mind - you can purchase the premium pass for coins, and we'll give you the premium pass for free as part of an in-game challenge to show you how sorry we are!"

Players: "Oh, nice. We still don't like the premium+ option, but this is cool, thanks for going back and not screwing us over."

Respawn: "Yeah so we're still greedy af, and we tricked you. We're changing the meaning of the word "premium" - the premium and plus passes are now "ultimate" and "ultimate+", and you still have to buy those both with money like we originally planned. The NEW "premium" pass that you can get with coins is actually a lesser version that doesn't come with any of the immediate rewards the premium passes used to come with."

The game continues to go downhill with frequent whale-skinning collection events, but changing the name of the "premium pass" to the "ultimate pass" just so they can claim that they didn't lie to our faces when they told us we'll still be able to buy the premium pass for coins is the ♥♥♥♥-flavored icing on this rotten cake.

Save yourself (and your wallet) the trouble - play something else. This game is a shadow of its former self - a corpse being puppeteer by money-sucking vampires to bleed their fanbase dry of what little they can before they kill the game for good.

Update: After a year of hard work from the developers, a much-needed change in leadership, and frequent updates to both content and overall gameplay quality, the game is actually really good now, and is a proper sequel - it's definitely worth playing

Playing this game is like getting passionately kissed and then kicked in the balls.

I bought this game expecting a joke game about furry inflation that would be good for some laughs between me and my friends

Instead I got one of the greatest metroidvania's I've ever played, with engaging gameplay, an interesting story, phenomenal music, fun boss battles, and well-thought out mechanics that evolve every level

Unironically this game is my pick for the best indie game of 2022

Arguably one of the greatest role-playing games of all time. This PC port of the 2003 classic is a testament to Bioware and their ability to deliver a complex. fulfilling narrative paired with engaging, thought-provoking combat. Like with Mass Effect, they managed to create an entire galaxy full of colorful characters and thrilling stories - Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is a must-play for star wars and role-playing fans alike.
