It is definitely pay to win, the prices are not the worst nor the best. The subscription is less than most mmorpgs these days, and it has a steep learning curve. That being said this game is still fun, and at the end of the day that is what gaming is about (also most games coming out right now seem to have forgotten that golden rule). I haven't spent any money on this game yet, however I am having enough fun that I am going to. The developers earned it, if for no other reason than I am having a good deal of fun on a game they let us play for free.

Edit: The people who remade this game never played it, and don't even enjoy this genre of games. One example of this is the game was designed to lock you into in during certain parts. So if you want to exit the game you are not allowed until you finish what the games demands you finish. Weird design for a game.

I will admit first off that I did play this with friends, and games like this are almost always better with friends. That being said, I found this to be arguably the best RPGish survival game I've ever played.

Horrible game design, major bugs that are not game breaking but turn the game into the worst chore a game has ever been designed to be. I play with my wife and we receive different quests or she will get an extra quest and I wont and vice versa. The games loot system is a joke and is a clear indication of how much the developers dont give a damn about you in the slightest. Every time you or any party member logs in or out of the game, it resets the loot system so that one person can take literally all the loot without ever meaning to. This is the default system, it is just another chore that you have to continuously pay attention to or everyone gets punished. Avoid this game unless you are looking for more chores to do on a daily basis.

This company supports pedophiles and pedophile ideology. Don't give them money, they will use it to hurt your children.

Ubisoft requires you log into their launcher to play their games, but they have a horrible system design to help you with any issues you might have with their login process. They refuse to invest any money into it to make it even just decent. Avoid their games because the company retains the rights to not let you play any game you buy from them.

This use to have a good review from me, but due to Ubisoft's way of doing business I have to remove all positive reviews. If they make one mistake on your account, you lose access to all your games from Ubisoft, and their system is horribly designed to help fix these issues. Something as small as forgetting a login password can turn into a permanent loss of all your Ubisoft games. Don't spend any money on their games until they either create a better system for fixing said issues, or stop requiring a login to play a single player game.

For all the emphasis on climbing, they did a piss poor job of designing the quest areas. The devs failed at seeing the game from a perspective that is not their own. When they design levels they know where every little thing is but they forget that players were not involved in the making of this game. So unless you like constantly watching youtube tutorials then avoid this game.

I am only able to play for 10 minutes before the game either crashes itself or crashes my computer. I have an 11th gen intel i7, nvidia rtx 3600Ti, 16g of ram, etc. My computer is decent enough to handle this game but on every graphics setting, it always crashes. Their is also no more support for this game, so avoid it at this point rather than deal with the problems that haven't been fixed for years now.

I use to love this game, but it causes damage to my new computer. I am forced to restart my computer every time I try to play this game. It never actually starts, but only locks my computer up in a sort of suspended animation. I have 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11700F @ 2.50GHz 2.50 GHz, Nvidia RTX 3600 Ti. 16 gigs of ram.
