Final Boss is just a touhou boss in disguise. You can't fool me Harsgaard.

Oh yeah the game is pretty good. Upgrading is scaled properly, so future areas become harder based on your tier average. Doesn't feel very "Looter-Shooter", just a 3rd person action-RPG shooter with Dark Souls elements. Inspired yet unique story. Base game's ending on the other hand, feels like getting your 2 root hollows crushed.

Semi-realistic team first-person-shooter without any of the waiting BS. No preparation time, no organization with clans over a few days, just hop right in. Teamwork optional.

I personally have not touched much of PvP, but the PvE element is quite casual, and even without voicechat you will eventually bond and understand with your teammates without even a shred of communication.

You either die a roleplayer, or live long enough to see yourself become a minmaxer.

This is for classic mode, which is the non-story one.

I mean, it's a solid game but only if you're timid and treat everything as if it was fact, falling for obvious "sympathy" bait through use of almost cliche "think of the children" and "man this is sad look, sad war war bad sad". This ends up leading to a disconnect as the morals are game-ified.

The game mechanics are alright if you play timidly, but serious cracks show if you play aggressively and aren't afraid to commit to actually tackling tasks in a logical matter and utilising the game mechanics to its fullest. The AI reaction is too slow, and a shotgun is a near-instant-kill at short ranges, whereas the AR will reliably down targets in 2 bursts at most ranges without a hostile even getting off a single shot.

Solid game, but one of the key ways to simply winning is to knife a guy with a gun, use that gun to shoot others and then because areas where hostiles exist have the most loot, proceed to wipe clean that area whilst moving to other areas before becoming self-sustainable from the sheer amount of amassed resources.
