You are put in the shoes of a fish man. At first glance it seems like the character is just a jpeg. A still picture that has been set to follow your mouse. On further reflection the truth is revealed. He is frozen with fear. Only able to amble back and forth trying in vain to avoid the cruel ends of the barbed spears that are the only friends he knows. Holding on to that small glimmer of hope that he will make it out of this hell he finds himself in. Often times, the game forces you into situations where you cannot win. You will be killed. You will die. This is breathtaking. You feel so engrossed into the game that the only thing stopping you from dying along with the character is the mouse cursor being layered on top of the game at all times and the fact that the game opens in a tiny resolution window that barely fills any of the screen.
