It's basically the patch Dark Souls always should have gotten and they made it look a little bit better. Definitely not the best "remaster", but it's still one of my favorite games of all time.

Hard to say much that hasn't been said already. It's Dark Souls 3. It has its flaws, but is probably my favorite game in the Souls series.

I don't understand why people say this is the worst game in the Souls series. It's actually turned out to be my favorite. It is different, and perhaps easier than DS1 in some ways, but certainly can be very challending and is very rewarding when you finally beat those challenges.
