Even after the whole Sony and arrowhead PSN account contract debacle (yes arrowhead had a role to play in it), They lied about reverting the psn thing as its still restricted in those countries and since its sony i doubt they are keeping their word its ALL A LIE. also arrow fumbles the bag yet again by making their coop game play which is already pretty good mind you worse with horrible unfriendly player and consumer balance changes to A COOP GAME yet again. It doesnt even make any sense considering the new war bond has ♥♥♥♥ weapons leaving only a couple of weapons to be viable and alot of the rifles are just copy and paste, countless bugs and glitches also makes the gameplay terrible like not being able to lock on to targets with the spear. If the psn thing doesnt slowly kill the game the stupid choices by arrowhead will.

unnecessary changes by the used to begone devs (armored update) to tank combat as driving feels horrible and turning slightly kills all speed. infantry combat is good but the player count, servers, and community is garbage as there is either 1 or 2 EU and USA server with queues even tho there are tons of empty ones.

the big problem with games like post scriptum and it trying to retain plays is the accessibility aspect. i.e if you want to use tanks you must be in a squad, this essentially kills armored servers nobody wants to crew with randos, there are usually just 2 or more squads of armor meaning you can only get up to 2 tanks in most maps since most of the time people arent allowed to one man tanks completely making the potential use of tanks moot as only ~4 people in one tank can make full use of it which again is rare given the player base even tho devs made a update dedicated for the non existent tanker play base instead of the infantry wasting resources. Devs need to sacrifice some aspects of "realism" for fun gameplay (people who use "realism" or "simulator" when talking about a game where you can get shot in the torso and get revived or magically build a pak 88 out of a logi truck that is smaller than the huge pak 88 are full of crap not realizing its a video game first and immersion 2nd)

with this forced focus on being together and forcing mic constantly on a dying game when tanking or SL youd think people would want to be Squad Lead or use mic right? no, it just turns away new players, this game is not squad, cant afford to be like it in anyway and shouldn't. just like with SQUAD (the game) it is uncommon to squad lead as a starting choice because its usually boring and difficult for new comers which is why map knowledge and knowing the mechanics is so important in creating better and dedicated players, having in game voice lines and not forcing SQUAD cohesion constantly better. its all about accessibility if you want to make a game popular, I dislike the path that OWI is taking with PS copying Squad and not making creative choices on their own. not saying that it should be super simplified and easy but balanced and still fun. forcing absolute coms in a dead game makes no sense, the game devs keep forcing things that player base doesn't really need when basic communication and cohesion with squads are already in the game and optional.

most new players that enter this game will have to climb at steep hill in other to get to enjoy the other things that this game has to offer like tanks or other classes which is fine but what about the veterans who want to just hop on a game by themselves play tank, logi, or AT by themselves without having to bring competent friends along every time, they are the ones that keep the player numbers high and they get punished for it if not in a whole as party chat without people. would it be nice for squads to communicate constantly like how the devs envisioned? SURE, but the chances of that happening constantly and with quality are rare and low.

one thing that PS does get right are the maps but the game mode offensive is kinda of crap, you have both timer (30 mins or so on some map, each cap point gives about 10 mins back) and reinforcements dragging matches for way to long. some low player count servers force the skirmish game mode which is god awful as its just hell let loose but in a smaller map; completely pointless mode. all they had to do was just decrease the timer, reinforcements, or map size and make the classes unrestricted. this way a new player can mess around, learn, and still play the game with no artificial game mode restrictions forcing them to only play cod team death match for 3 hour until the servers fill and isnt seeding anymore

the NEW LOGI system is a step in the wrong direction as MSP although made the game simpler and easier made fights much less punishing compared to SQUAD which shouldnt be the same game, different era different gameplay.

save your money buy something like red orchestra 44 45 and get the mod "darkest hour" (free mod) and cost way less (base game) for the amount of content) it covers most of the problems that are said in this review whilst also being very similar to PS and more balanced.
the player count is small but at least there is a dedicated group of players and updates even after decades with consideration to solos, randoms, with the option to communicate cause it knows it small player base better.

Why is this game out of early access there are soooo many things that this game needs to implement. The biggest thing is optimization, when the maps in game are way smaller than SQUAD and SQUAD runs better there a problem. Some of the options in the settings dont even work, you cant adjust the 1x or 4x sights sensitivity it simply doesnt work. The customization was released wayyy to early the preview cosmetics pictures for the items are screenshotted from the checkboard dev map and manyyyy other things are still unfinished not to mention its pretty dead for a niche tactical shooter that requires a handful of players AT LEAST to enjoy a game. The bots added today is not a fix to the situation its a band aid and they are going to fight on that virtual battlefield with no real players besides them FOR A LONG TIME they are the combat model replicant from Blade Runner.

1.0 is not ready it is not a full release this is more like update 0.85

with 56 million* dollars in supporter revenue you think they bump up their work but they dont. my guess is trying to cash in the profit for as little work and effort as possible; they are chugging along to a perfect game as slow as possible.

performance issues still not solved/ is worse

suspect ai issues

cosmetic issues like clipping

some of the maps feel incomplete, they felt like a modded map

not enough world building/ lore, swat team mates barely talk about their surrounds in interesting ways and you cant interact with people in the police HQ. Everything lore wise is all reading which is only good to a certain extent.
^ to add to this story, lore, world building needed to be better than swat 4's right now its almost the same if not more lack luster. its better if it were 4 swat guys that you build a relationship with instead of randos each time; the 4 default swat guys in practice is who I'd want. (this only applies to commander mode which is marketed like the main campaign mode)

commander mode seems like a decent idea for a side game mode not as a main campaign, its simply not implemented well enough there isnt enough change to make it its own mode, There needs to be main story mode, sandbox mode /w or /wo commander mode and ironman mode if wanted.

map modes have been taken out for now i.e bomb situation, hostage, active shooter on different maps
