Incredible game. Don't let other reviews fool you, this isn't a roguelike or a traditional metroidvania, its a gardening game where the goal is to connect the map together through a network of plants, this is a great puzzle mechanic as different plants are needed for different types of areas

The expansion is mandatory, turning this game from a 5/10 into 10/10. I recommend Iceborne community edition which re-balances hitzones and makes the clutch claw a fun optional tool instead of a mandatory part of fights.

Far better than World

Worst dialogue, story-lines, and characters of any Bethesda rpg by far. Many of the quests use common science-fiction ideas but it seems as though the writers only recognized that the ideas had been used before and did not understand them. All of the space window dressing only serves to introduce load screens. Some interesting ideas resulting from space such as zero-g combat, ship combat, smuggling, ect. are woefully underutilized or underdeveloped. You will run through the same dungeon multiple times (In my case one was 3 times alone during the main story).

Good things about this game are that the perk system feels rewarding by unlocking mostly new features instead of percent boosts and is restrictive enough to make you specialize. Gunplay feels good and the gameplay loop of fighting through hostile bandit outposts is solid. The lockpicking minigame is very fun although again there is no risk to picking a lock when it doesn't happen in real time. I genuinely believe consoles held this game back technically far too much and that if Bethesda lets modders work without updating anything themselves this game could be technically great in 3 years.

Exceptionally fun game, possibly the best crpg since baldur's gate 2 but I won't know for sure until I can play more than the intro. I have started 3 different characters and each one has run into a different gamebreaking bug at the start of act 2. Wait until patched in year or so.
