I very much enjoy this game, but there are things that make it very unfun that the Fun Police change intentionally.

The basic crafting, base building, and quest systems are alright. There may seem like a lack of weapons when you finally get to top tier POIs and crafting. While leveling it is pretty neat finding a level 3 handgun to replace your pipe pistol, but at end game content you'll be running a level 6 MP5 the whole time.

My frustrations lie with two large components that frustrate me to no end. The first is their zombie AI. You cannot, or shouldn't, build a base anywhere neat. Don't bother using a POI, or building a cool house/fortress. The zombies, somehow, manage to be undead yet civil engineers that know the quickest path to get to you through your walls and spikes. No John Romero-esque zombies here, slow just slapping blocks to get to you. They know exactly where to go and the fastest way to do it. Absolutely ruins horde nights. The second is higher tier POIs with "challenges" incorporated. I don't mind them spawning zombies behind you when you trigger a specific spawn, that's whatever. However having floors drop out, making you fall through floors/walls to the point you sprain or break your legs isn't a challenge. FORCING me to walk/run through the same five stories in a POI again isn't a challenge. It doesn't increase difficulty, it's just poor design.

Time to kill is long af in core, but when you play HC you'll get one shot by a handgun faster than you can kill them with an assault rifle.

Just another mid entry.

I thoroughly enjoy this game, and unfortunately because of my play time I was not refunded. Sony pushing for a PSN account linked to continue playing this game is ridiculous.

This is one of the most satisfying tank sims I've played, where shots feel like they matter, unlike WoT. What leads me to leave a negative is the absolute dog water map design and economy decisions the mighty snail makes. Not only do they rollback on promises to the community, they also stealth nerf/buff vehicles and the economy. And nothing feels better than being sniped from a cap point into your spawn, because the snail won't put physical boundaries or disallow spawn camping/sniping. Matches are either enjoyable or a complete steamroll.

Don't. Just, please. Do not.

Haven't been able to play because the setup for the website, linking your steam account, and setting up the launcher is just a dismal experience.

So to preface, I've played this game long before it's introduction to the Steam store. This review is NOT due to the inability to link your Wargaming account to this version of WoT, though that decision does baffle me.

So a large portion of why I dislike this game is due to it's 'arcade' style. HP system, 'RNG' in regards to where your shells land, and artillery.

To me an HP system is not rewarding for this type of gameplay. If you manage to survive all match, but only have 200/1250 hit points, you must stay on your toes or get one shot. It punishes you for being able to survive the match. On the other side of the coin, there is no genuinely intriguing gameplay mechanics and it instead leads to matches of sniping the commander's cupola instead of going for chassis/turret cheek shots.

Sniping leads me to my next point. There is a large amount of 'RNG' that goes into making shots. You could aim straight at their lower hull, and the round go straight into the gun mantlet. The guns of these armored beasts were not as inaccurate as this, and most rounds would fly true. This is yet another way to make the game more 'arcade-y' to fit the style and it can lead to very frustrating moments.

My final and most important gripe; artillery. No counter play, no way to dodge, avoid, or get warning for it. You will go from 1000/1000 hit points down to 132/1000 with one round, all the while the other player is simply sitting in the rear of the map with their map open, just reloading. Getting one shot by artillery with absolutely no way to counter leaves a sour taste in the mouth of attempting to use actual tactical gameplay.

If you enjoy arcade style shooters, especially armored warfare, this may be the title for you. But if you're looking for a much more simulation-like experience I would recommend War Thunder.

I've put in hundreds of hours on this game on my 360 over the years, and another couple hundred on PC. Even playing vanilla, this game is a masterpiece.

An amazing game with great gunplay, beautifully unique graphics, and a kickass soundtrack!

Edit: I was unaware there was a replay system in the options, so I am editing this review to reflect my own ignorance to this feature.

Absolute 10/10.

While I do enjoy this game, and it is quite fun (the lack of artillery is what I enjoy most lol) it does not hold the same respect as the original title. I'm not sure why they put Blitz on Steam instead of the original, since both are free to play but this rendition is still enjoyable, just dumbed down quite a bit. If you enjoy WoT but want a more casual experience, Blitz is where it's at!

With a rise in retro-esque games, there are few that feel worth playing. This, alongside Dusk and a few others are the only noteworthy entries in this genre in my opinion. Very retro graphics but they look beautiful, and with a great soundtrack to back it up. The weapons all feel as though they have their place, especially with the upgrade tree. There seem to be no wrong choices. On the technical side of things, it's not a demanding game, and I did not have many issues. The only problem I did have was loading into one of the later missions (E5M8 or M9, I can't recall.) Very laggy, and I do have a rig beefy enough to handle this game. One pet peeve of mine is when game devs add achievements such as a one life deal, such as Wolfenstein 2. I love a challenge, and I love 100% games, however achievements like that are a bit distasteful to me. Overall I'd give this game a SOLID 9/10
