A truly great game, with lots of potential, that is receiving updates nearly daily. It is currently a bit one dimensional (flash then clear and you can win the entire level without a single shot if youre super deliberate and smart), but the game is still an absolute blast. Never played it during its year long hiatus, and never having played SWAT, I come into this with an open mind and have to say it has quickly become my favorite game. Runs great, plays great, is great. Just get it!! Even better with friends to play with, but honestly the VOIP and community seem to all play well together if you dont have friends.

Good game as is, but if you expect silky smooth performance go elsewhere. This game is TERRIBLY optimized. Textures not loading, cant heal teammates, cant pick up guns, and a lot more game breaking bugs. But once you get through those the game itself is a great game with solid foundations. With only monthly updates it might be ahwile before this game is fully optimized unfortunately. I would only reccomend this if you are patient enough to get through all its current bugs. The gameplay itself is fantastic though, and can get quite intense when theres only a handful of people left.

I dont recommend this game, but I do recommend the mod. I "only" (lol) have 240 hours on this game, but on the mod I had over 500 hours in. That was on a POS Dell All-in-One touchscreen. Game ran at about 30 frames. I now have a much better PC and the thing runs even worse. 780Ti, 8 Gig Rams, i7 Quad. In cities im lucky to even get 20 frames. Dev's have been saying for years that they will update the game and bring more and more content in. They even tried saying that this was going to release on console in 2016 which is absolutely insane considering that the game isnt even close to being finished on PC. DayZ got the devs filthy rich and now they have basically quit working on this game. Quite a shame, had so much potential. Don't let the promises of a completed game fool you, DayZ is going nowhere... ever. lol.

Otherwise, if you enjoy a game that has been bug ridden for years, dev abandoned, has no future, and doesnt even hardly run on a good PC due to lack of optimization with every "new" update, then this game is for you. :-)
