This game is fantastic, basically a perfect translation of the first game to 3rd-person shooter. Here's a concise list of what I like.

- Shooting is tight with a really unique crosshair system and the ability to ADS, feedback from shooting enemies is also great, blood/oil and chunks flying off of enemies never gets old, small details like staged reloads, reloading with an empty mag vs reloading with rounds still left in the mag, etc make the gunplay more complex and great
- Every orbital/airstrike/support strategem is useful and fun to use
- Cooperation is encouraged and is extremely fun, using the weapons that are made more efficient by having a dedicated gunner and loader feels amazing
- Game has a great tone overall, Starship Troopers is an obvious influence but the game has a bit more of a happy-go-lucky feeling due to the brighter colors and "democratic" messaging
- The two available enemy factions play extremely differently and to the games benefit, the bugs are more melee focused and frenetic to fight, responding quickly when calling for reinforcements while the bots are ranged focused, deliberate, and take a bit longer to respond to reinforcing but can overwhelm you with heavy units
- Friendly fire is hilarious... usually
- The variance in missions and side objectives is great and ensures that every mission will play out a little differently even if the main objectives are the same, its also a nice base for adding more in the future
- Difficulty scaling is steady and gets wild quick, you need to play smart and cooperatively if you want to be able to survive suicide-mission difficulty and onward as things can get out of hand fast
- Technical performance is solid, on high-ultra settings at native 1440p resolution scaling I rarely drop below 80-90fps on a 12700k and a 3080
- The reward-earning and battlepass system is very fair in my opinion being built into progression and having weapons that are useful in the free pass as well as cosmetics that are nice to have as well, higher difficulties yield more rewards and general progression is consistent as you're able to unlock new strategems and weapons after almost every mission you play

The game got a bad reputation in the first few days because of server instability, but the devs have been responsive and vocal about support and maintenance and given that the game has been out for less than a week and I have gotten 30 hours worth of play even with servers being down from time to time I have no complaints there.

If this game sounds even remotely interesting to you, I encourage you to pick it up, you will not be disappointed.
