I bought a Vita (TV) with the soul purpose of buying this game for it. After buying it on here, I haven't played the Vita (TV) since.

Good game!

I played most of my time on the Xbox 360. I was an early adopter of Skullgirls, I introduced people to it. I enjoyed its art style, gameplay mechanics, ect, you know the drill.

They literally let people buy a game, and then later decided "You know what? We don't like this content, so you're losing it.". They could have added a toggle button or something that'd hide the "offensive" content, but instead they just removed it with no real input from the customers. I'll be removing Skullgirls from my account. I don't care if I already paid for it, I simply do not want to see its icon in my library anymore.

I cannot stand behind any content that will literally censor their game, and just tell their consumers "Oh well, deal with it".

I don't understand the negativity of this mode. Was it more expensive before? Right now, its $5.99, and I think that's the appropriate price for what is essentially a wave based mode with optional challenges thrown in. It could have been free, but unlike things like extra characters or weapons, this mode is legitimately just extra.

I'd say it deserves its 70 score on Metacritic. Its a slightly below average shooter with neat ideas that only partially get expanded on. Still completely worth a buy since its still fun, and the story's not too bad either.

Not bad, not great. Pretty fun, so/so designs. I liked the characters, and I'd buy this if its on sale.

I remember when I first saw teasers for this game. I thought "God of War? As some kind of The Last of Us type cinematic adventure game? I don't know about this guys..."

And yet here I am now. Buying it for the second time; once on PS4, and once again on PC!

Also, I really like Kratos' character here. In the original games I thought he was a little angry man who was fun to play as but kinda boring as a character. Now, he's a big angry man who's actively trying to better himself to a degree, while trying to be a mentor to his child. Pretty cool!

I think this game may have been mis-marketed and misrepresented online a bit. I've heard people say its a walking simulator, but to say that ignores all the fun stuff you do while traveling from point A to point B. Things such as

Climbing and maintaining balance.

Fighting.

Stealthing.

Looting.

And that's not even mentioning things like the music and cutscenes. If this is a walking simulator, then its what all walking sims should be.

I found myself constantly shifting between a Zen like peaceful feeling and a terrified "I can't let those guys see me" feeling thanks to the scenery and accompanying music, and I got a feeling of accomplishment through building things to make traveling easier.

Really, I think Death Stranding is much better than people say it is, but that could be because the developers hyped it up to be the game to end all games with a story that would eclipse every story to ever exist. Note that I'm exaggerating by about 1 percent. They should have shut up and let the game speak for itself, because Death Stranding speaks VERY well for itself.

Great game, but I don't think its worth the price tag.

I'm giving it a positive review despite that top sentence because

- It is a really fun game, and sets the tone well for The Phantom Pain very well IMO

- It runs pretty well on my lower end PC. I don't know much about graphics or optimization, but I do know that it runs really well on my lower end, out-of-date gaming PC (30 FPS on high), and it runs surprisingly well on my standard non-gaming laptop (if I want to play it in bed and I don't care about getting 20 FPS on low settings).

- The dialog of this game really makes me appreciate all of the effort that went in it. I have a new appreciation for directors when it comes to gaming, as this inspired me to research what a "director" does. And it REALLY made me appreciate the writers in gaming. It just goes to show that games don't have to be mindless shmups; they can be real narrative experiences, too.

All n all, I'd say get The Definitive Edition of The Phantom Pain to enjoy this.
