Though the remaster itself is subpar, the actually quality of the game is golden.
I haven't been this addicted or have enjoyed a game of this quality in a LONG time, and regret not getting in to the series sooner.

Very fun game! Start off as a weak no life, then grind your way up to be the best warrior possible, and make your ancestors proud. The replay value is out the roof, and it's level of fantastic is that of other holy grails such as the binding of isaac and spelunky.

While the game may entertain on it's first playthrough alone, it doesn't have much replay value in terms of singleplayer. However, in multiplayer with your friends, it can provide hours of fun.
Recommend.

This game is really, really fun. With so many game modes to choose from, there really isn't an excuse for you not to like the game. Don't like Trouble in Terrorist Town? Well, then try Dark RP! Don't like that? Go play sandbox! The list goes on, and especially when you play with friends, it could means hours on end of pleasure and enjoyment. You should definately buy this game.

Well, this game is awesome.
It's a tower defense. You have to protect your base. With towers.
Also, you have to destroy the enemy base. With units you send out.
And get this, they are protecting their base. With towers.
You get the gist of it, this game is awesome.
