Early Access Review
I played AQW and some AQ for most of my childhood but from the moment this was announced I became pretty skeptical about it. To me the charm of this universe used to be it's 2D/3D artstyle which was somehow pleasantly enhanced by Flash's limitations and "feel".

However, I gave it a shot 3 days ago and it's clear that Artix knows most people would stick around for that kind of nostalgy: despite obviously being different in performance and gameplay, IMO they nailed the old artstyle while also improving upon it and the dialogue is still relaxed and funny, keeping that state-of-the-art pun game.

Only 3 hours into it and I can tell this game hits differently.
The exploration is amazing, art style is great, the soundtrack fits nicely. It's just a great experience.
If you're gonna get it, do yourself the favor of not looking up anything about it. Playing this and not knowing what's gonna happen is as good a feeling as when you were 10 years old booting up a Minecraft survival world for the first time.

It's already a pretty fun game and I expect it'll only get better with the recode (EVRIMA).
Yeah, some servers have terrible admins, but that's why you get a server browser. Just pick somewhere else or hell, play on the official servers if you want a fun and tense survival experience.

This free weekend is my first time experiencing FO76 and even though launch was a controversial mess, the game is currently pretty fun.
It has the standard, expansive Bethesda storyline, it feels like Fallout (primarily thanks to the huge and detailed world, imo they did a really good job with map development) and there's a pretty interesting roadmap laid out which includes BoS.
Combat is (as usual) not the best, feels clunky and hitboxes are kind of all over the place but if you've played any other Bethesda RPG you're probably already used to it.I haven't noticed any major gamebreaking bugs other than the engine being temperamental and not accepting my 75hz refresh rate.
It's not a No Man's Sky level "comeback" but they're definitely improving the game.

A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one.

I stand corrected!
Recently ranted on a review about how Beyond was interesting though unplayable (was having horrible FPS and crash issues back then) but it's now patch 2.09.1 and I can tell you performance hasn't only stabilized, it has improved.
HG pushed out about 15 patches since Beyond launched and these are a few highlights in case you were having issues:
- Keybindings now work properly (both steam gamepad and ingame)
- No more weird Anomaly connection glitches that crash/mess up your game
- VRAM management was tremendously improved (textures pop in less often, FPS improved)
- Multiple crash fixes
- You can now sit on player-built chairs (cmon, that's important)
- Plenty of NPC animation/dialogue improvements
- AMD GPUs no longer crash on boot due to driver issues (as an RX 580 owner this was a
huge relief)
Massive props to the bugsmashing team at Hello Games.
I can now fully recommend Beyond!

I used to play this on the standalone launcher back in 2014/15 and it WAS incredibly fun. Might just be nostalgic bias but all it takes is watching a few videos and you'll realize the game just worked and played better.
It seems FJ is taking the right path with Infinity, though tiers and especially part ranking definitely need a rework. Also, it's just not fun when your team only has flyers while the enemy team has nanos on pretty much every bot.
Although not nearly as fun as it used to be, this game gets points for creativity and it's still exciting to play.
Gonna take a risk here and recommend this game based on what I think it's going to be like in a few updates and reworks, because it has gotten much better since the dark lootcrate days.
