As of now the game is great and very enjoyable. Yeah you have to link to your Epic Games account to be able to play online which is a very minor inconvenience but my issue is with how the game crashes on me constantly for it to be very frustrating when you get through a mission and it fails to complete it because it crashes at the end. I have verified the file integrity of the game and have made sure my drivers are up to date. As of now I think its a stability issue of the game and this port to PC. Otherwise I would give it a positive review.

Edit: The stability of the game was much better in full screen mode rather than borderless window mode. I am unsure how such a small setting change could increase the stability of the game but since I have made that change the game has not crashed on me since. I am now updating my review to a positive review as it is still a genuinely fun game to play with friends.

Worth every penny.

If only I could play the game. Was able to play yesterday but the matchmaking for solo players or even to just get into any level is almost impossible. Hope they can turn this around soon otherwise this game will bomb.
Unless you like to stare at matchmaking failed messages don't buy this game.

Its great

The game is frustrating when in combat where you have tanky enemies and you run out of ammo and need to switch weapons. Every weapon, aside from the stun baton, acts as a slide on attachment to a trigger so whenever you run out of ammo on a weapon you need to go through the animation of changing attachments. This makes combat excruciatingly difficult when you are trying to dodge multiple enemies while changing a weapon. on top of that there is no way to heal on the fly you basically have to finish an encounter without healing or taking too many hits so you can heal after. the only way to heal quickly is if health drops from enemies during the encounter which may not happen. There are times when enemies can even one shot you which is a really big design flaw given how the flow of combat works or technically doesn't work. Yes you can stock up on a ton of ammo but the weapon switching mechanic really sucks cause you HAVE to wait till the animation is done before you can shoot or reload the weapon you switched to. There is not a whole lot of variety to enemy types either due to the dodge mechanic being the center of every encounter.

The story isn't anything worthwhile. A prison with a mysterious and dark background. Visually the game is great. Wait for it to go on sale. I give it a 6/10. Still is something that i can appreciate and hope for promising changes if they decide to have future entries to the series. The DLC I'll hold off of to see if its any good before buying.

You know those reviews where the person has a ridiculous amount of hours in a game that seems simple and impossible to have that many legitimate hours of playtime. The playtime is legitimate and I understand how easy it is to get lost in the sauce now. 9/10 great game.

As I have played over 100 hours of this game I feel that I can write a thorough review of this game.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a super immersive and ambitious project developed by CD Projekt Red. You are thrown into the boots of Geralt of Rivia one of the few remaining witchers in a world corrupt with monsters both human and nonhuman. While this game is a true RPG experience it allows you to make desicions that will affect your gameplay and story based on the morals and ideals that you hold true. This allows for the game to have high replay value for those who want to explore every option and story detail that they wish to find. That also being said Im still on my first playthrough of the game and have clocked in over 100 hours although I have also been finding all the "collectibles" (exploring all the unknown locations to find items that can be sued to upgrade gear). if you are worried that you wont get your moneys worth thats not a problem at all.

The type of gameplay is not for everyone. I have seen that people didn't enjoy how the combat plays. Combat is pretty simple until you start getting into potions, oils, and signs to enhance your survivability in combat situations. If you play on an easier difficulty you can get away with not having to deal with not having a few potions, you probably wouldnt need oils, or signs. but if you want to enjoy the combat the way the game wants you to and have fun you want to see what taking multiple potions and using multiple signs in combat can do for you. The basics of combat is you have light and heavy attacks which with different opponents you would have to use them to see which attack works best.

The story and interaction with npcs has to be the best thing about the witcher. The character developement is so well done that you care for all the characters in different ways, some you'll hate, some you'll love. But as I've been going through the story I found myself to feel various amounts of emotions which I look for in a story driven game. It meens that ive loved the game so much that I actually cares what happens to them. The witcher is a wild ride all the way through the story with a decent pace to keep the player invested. Even though I haven't finished the game I give the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt a solid 9/10.

I absolutely love this game. this game is worth the money, and will tell you one of the best stories you have ever been told. the music fits the setting for the game which adds to the great experience of playing this game. i reccomend everyone to play this game eventually so that they dont get to miss out on this piece of art. 10/10
