What a beautiful story. My playthrough of it feels deeply special to me, like it could never have unfolded any other way, despite knowing that there are thousands of other ways it could have gone.

I hadn't played a fighter in my life before Pocket Rumble and within a few hours I was having a great time with my friends. A dozen hours after that, my buddy and I keep learning new nuances to the gameplay. Looking forward to dozens more. :)

what I liked: the game
what I didn't like: that I had to stop playing it (ran out of game to play)

the scenario was incredibly immersive, and I felt compelled to play the game until the wee hours of the morning in order to solve the mystery quickly. there was a looming sense of danger and imminence the whole time -- getting counter-hacked or traced was *scary*.

part of what made it so easy to get into the shoes of the player character was how the game makes it feel like you're learning the same skills as you go that your character is, not just gaining abstract representations of skills. does this game teach you how to hack? no. but with a little suspension of disbelief, does it *feel* like it is? absolutely. 10/10

I love this game! So much! DoomRL was a lot of fun, and as its spiritual successor, Jupiter Hell manages to deliver a streamlined version of the same experience, with oodles of polish. Very unique gameplay, tactically deep, huge decision space.

Feels like a finished game right now, and it's only going to get better.
