I am so super startled right now.
This game (and the DLC) work perfectly to its design.
Outlast wears the Horror Crown.

Sadly, I cannot recommend this loading screen simulator.
This is an exercise in how far the game devs can push the customer with maddeningly tedious puzzles.
A game that should last 6-8 hours is lengthened by filler and infuriating back and forth, A to B, through X.

Do you like Doom?
How about Metal?
Then play on sale.

Game feels unfinished. Textures and colours are off. Which is a shame as there is likely a good story here.

Enjoyable game which plays out like a slightly corny high school horror.
Would have given a higher score but unable to remove black bars, in-game and cut scenes, and the processing power is also pretty big for what is an interactive game. Also, some of the choices you make are irrelevant to the unfolding story.

8.5/10 great game.

However, this game works a lot better with a controller. Whoever thought it was a good idea to have to literally shake your Steam Deck side to side, up and down, to action certain bits is a clown.

I give it a 8/10 on the Wang-ometer...
