Simply a brilliant game. Not wildly connected to Ezio and the rest, but fun beyond measure!

After the magic of Just Cause 3 (which I've now played 3 times), and the sprawl of JC 2 (which I never finished to 100% due to its size...), I was looking forward greatly to Just Cause 4. Solis looked great in the videos and it sounded like another fun romp. Is it? Well, um.....
Solis is vast, no question. There is quite a bit of detail out there, and the grassland biome really looks fab. The jungle looks like a rehash of Just Cause 2 and, well, so far, I've had litte need to go much further. Well, I've tried but game crashes fairly often. Not good for a start!
Apart from a seemingly retrograde step with regard to graphics (JC3 was somehow simply lusher), much of my problem stems from incomprehension. In the previous two games, you knew what you had to blow up and hovertexts would appear. Here, you have to guess. Add to that the illogicality of still having to blow things up after the front line has passed over it (hang on, wouldn't the rebels then want to keep the equipment?). Why is there no road signage (apart from every highway being I80...)? Why do I keep getting the same dialogue for a mission I've already completed?
If anything, probably my biggest gripe is with the communities. In JC2 you had to blow a few things up, collect some boxes. In #3, you destroyed various bits and pieces, which gradually weakened the province. It was logical. Here? Wingsuit and speed challenges to 'complete' a community. WHAT? How is this helping rebels, for whom you simply need to clear a base and move the borders?
I've paid for the game, it's fun to explore and tether things together or send them into the sky (which most of the pre-launch videos seemed to concentrate on) but the gameplay is pretty, no very, weak. It's a great shame as a huge opportunity was lost here...
