Been a supporter from early access way before the 1.0 release.

Devs keeps everyone updated both pre and post launch with roadmaps. Would whole heartedly recommend this game to those who want to relive the glory days of Swat 4. Game has great atmosphere, a story that isn't spoon fed (911 calls, suspect info, civilian info, briefing, the environment during level etc.). Gunfights are intense, OST and level design is spectacular, truly captures the grueling reality of the counterparts in real life.

Only setback in my opinion is the enemy/squad AI is sometimes hit or miss, they seem to know the position and shoot through walls when they shouldn't know the location. Another thing is especially in small rooms friendly AI block the passage or at points not follow the given commands.

All in all whoever is a fan of these types of games I would definitely recommend it at that pricepoint.

One of the few games in which I can say that time flew by when playing it, especially if you're a completionist. Would definitely recommend this game, however word of warning their prices for dlcs and what you get in them are not clearly stated and has been an issue from day 1, just do the research on it though and you should be good.

It is not DD1, majority of the negative reviews are negative for the sole reason that its not a copy and paste DD1 with better visuals and since it's something new and different it means it's bad.

In my opinion there are some things that should have been better and should have been left from DD1 (better roster of chars), the dungeoneering aspect of it. They did remove some of the things that made DD1 a grind fest (upgrading Hamlet) and reworked some of the annoying parts mostly related to stress ex. dying when reaching 200 stress.

The visuals in DD2 are amazing and well incorporated, you have actual relationships between the members of the roster which would result in debuffs or buffs depending if it was positive or negative. It's more of a Slay the spire esque branch of dungeoneering and it took more of a rogue like approach, which some people hated (due to that reason). The only downside to the execution in my opinion is it forces you to fail given how the bosses are designed, which shouldn't be the case (you have to upgrade with items from previous runs in order to be able to defeat the boss). The relics should also be a bit better, however they are not to dissimilar from DD1.

Overall, I would highly recommend it to anyone that enjoyed DD1 and wanted to see DD universe in a different game style, gorgeous animations/visuals and good storytelling.

This review will not do the game any justice because I can't really put into words how amazing this game is. It's developers did a really good job with it and there is an upcoming, expansion which I can't really wait any more for. The roadmap that the developers put and their own transparency with their current progress on the upcoming expansion shows how much they care for their community. I whole-heartedly recommend without any hesitation :D

Now I have trust issues...

Easy to learn, Hard to master. It has nervewrecking multiplayer and a rewarding XP system. I highly recommend this game :D
