I love slime rancher and I was hopeful for a VR experience, but don't even think about playing it if you're tethered. There is no rotation in movement unless you turn your head or body, and movement is bound to a trigger and controller pointing instead of control stick movement. But hey, the VR playground is a free dlc so if you want to give it a shot, go for it. Personally, I'd just stick with the vanilla experience.
