This game is great, it has recieved so much work over the years and continues to receive a lot of work being done. If you have always wanted to drive a truck or love the idea of running your own business then this is a great game/simulation.

I would recommend that you get yourself a wheel to play this with as it will be a huge upgrade to your enjoyment of this game although it can also be played very well with keyboard and also with a controller with great remapping support :D

I personally recommend this game as a fan of the franchise. This particular version of the game is not like the previous version of Fallout, there is a lot more concentration on the gunplay and the weapons, which IMO with the concentration on them they lack the finesse of a more fleshed out fps style game.
The building mode/settlements in this game have also taken over a large part of the game, for me I was totally against this in the beginning but after some more play time and more understanding I personally started to enjoy the system and loved trying to make a thriving settlement with multiple people, farming areas, and they are just great at collecting items for you so you can concentrate more on the gameplay and less on inventory management.
I still have not completed the game so can not really comment on the whole storyline, but what I have played so far it seems a little obvious to me what is always going to happen.
To fix the bugs and add back in the more open world RPG element to this game you have to look towards the modding scene, which is HUGE there are so many mods to try out and use that you can create multiple types of games with this one game, I have this on multiple platforms and between them have clocked in the 300 hours mark of gameplay, and remember I still have not finished the game.
As a fan of the franchise you might be disappointed but in the long run it really still is a Fallout game, but with new features or problem depending on your point of view but with the modders, this can be something truly amazing!

Recommendations will depend on exactly what you want from this game. I personally would recommend it for someone that loves the idea of taming and riding Dino's, I mean as a child who did not dream of doing this? I would also recommend it for someone that has a few friends that are also playing this and would like to play along with them.

There have been a lot of changes made to the game, some bad, some awesome, some not so. The developers are constantly updating and tweaking the game as it progresses through its time on Early Access and so far with over 500 hours on this game, I would say I have had my monies worth from it.

Great to play with friends, a little boring after a while on your own, and a massive modding community that is adding things to the game that make it more and more enjoyable, PvP and PvE as options on both Official and UnOfficial servers, so really there is not much more to ask for IMO.

If you are still unsure get it when it is sale, as this does go on sale quite a lot, and DO NOT let the paid DLC put you off as there are mods that fix this also :D
