A wonderful experience.

Legends mode can easily double or triple your playtime, highly recommended with friends.

this game gave me a headache

i love it

(in all seriousness this game is filled to the brim with secrets, some that you probably can't even solve by yourself, it's extremely creative, and even more insane. the manual is extremely cool and was very fun to use it, this game is a must if you enjoy puzzles and treasure hunting)

Played the living ♥♥♥♥ out of all these games back in the browser flash games era, and man they're still as good as they were before.
Swords and Sandals is undoubtedly my favorite flash game franchise and i'm so glad I had the opportunity to buy them on steam and enjoy all of them in one convenient launcher.

If S&S 4 had coop support it would be a perfect party game, but other than that it's an absolute blast from the past that is still great to play.

If you encounter any lags in the game i'd recommend lowering the resolution of the game slightly

Early Access Review
Now that the game has been out for a while, I can definitely say the characters and the story has only grew immensely, and thanks to the large amount of storylines you go through when playing that aren't necessarily related to the main storyline, the game feels so alive, as if you really are in Death Inc.
Major props to the developers for writing such good characters and have them interact in a really fun and interesting way. The characters, story and visuals are definitely my favorite part of this game.

I say that also because in my opinion the gameplay is not the most innovative, it feels like your standard platformer, however a lot of weapons and your scythe have additional attacks depending if you're airborne, aiming up or down, and I really appreciate it, it makes the gameplay, while not the most unique, still feel good to play with. Movement is fairly simple, but mastering dodges with dashes and aerials is something that might take a few runs to really start utilizing well.

Progression feels decent, doesn't lock you into a specific playstyle or achieve specific achievements to unlock items.

Runs can get long which is somewhat tiring at times, but you're able to leave the game and return to right where you stopped(at the start of the floor you chose) so you can take a break and come back later, which is really nice.

Overall, very solid game, with a lot of soul put into it. I still feel like it would've been better if it was story driven game rather than a roguelike, I feel like the characters could shine really well in that environment, but the game is still fun.

One of the greatest games I've had the honor to play this last few years.

The gameplay, the puzzles, the soundtrack, the story, aesthetics. Everything this game has to offer was an absolute blast to experience.
2D zelda games have always been one of my favorite games due to how they play and boy oh boy Death's Door has given me that experience I've been longing for for years now. I have nothing but praises for this game.

Usually, games like these often have bosses that sometimes feel weak or underwhelming to fight, but every boss/mini-boss I've fought in this game was a lot of fun and there was enough of a challenge to consider the fight worthy of the "boss fight" title.

There's quite a bit of post-game content to enjoy as well, so it doesn't just end on the final boss(which was amazing).

Don't get me wrong, this game by itself is not bad. You could enjoy it a lot if you enjoy simple fighting games, but these are the reasons why I just can't bring myself to enjoy it:

The game is too rigid, movement feels terrible compared to other fighting games such as smash, rivals of aether and brawlhalla, which are very similar in gameplay.
The characters themselves, apart from nick nailing the goofy aspects of the characters, feel soulless, as if they're clay dolls, further emphasized by the lack of voices for the characters, even if it's not possible to get some of the original VAs such as powdered toast man.

Lack of full control mapping makes the game akward to play, people will make fun of others playing on keyboard such as myself but I've grown quite accustomed to playing any fighting game with a keyboard, and being forced to use the arrow keys is not very fun.

I will give them credit though for the well designed maps(aesthetically). The level of detail for most maps is really high and are filled with cool references that would put a small smile on the average fan's face. The ren & stimpy map is just great, i love how it looks and I do like the unique playstyle it brings.
Still, good looking maps is hardly what makes a game great, and I wished they would've made the overall experience a lot smoother, as right now, in my opinion, the game is not worth its current price.

The game's pretty short and sweet, but will challenge your moral compass if you get into the story. Some parts feel a little forced but ultimately the game is a pretty fun experience, not to mention there is support for custom battles, so if you dig the combat, you'll never truly run out of content, especially when custom battles can look as good or even better than the official ones.

I'd try not to compare it to undertale too much, even though there are a few similarities & references in there, since the game feels different, it has its own identity which is good.

Re;birth1 keeps the Nep universe rather small and keeps the 4 goddesses as the main focus, while properly introducing the player to the world of Gamindustry without too much confusion. I absolutely love the storyline and prefer it over the other re;birth games since it's simple and has an overall fun feeling.
