Definitely a nice homage to the CDI zelda games.
Sort of like a "What if those games were actually good and fun to play?"
I would say the game's right about the perfect length and I had to stop myself from finishing it on one sitting.
Definitely enjoyed thinking about the places where secrets could be and how to get them as fast as possible on a new run.
Which comes in handy if you want to try and get the achievements and do the tougher difficulty 'hero mode'.
All and all it's not a 'long' game but definitely worth it, I'd say its strength is the sense of exploration, fun and progression you make and being shorter only makes for a better overall experience rather than feeling like a slog to get through.

Now, some more personal opinion stuff.
I absolutely love the silly humor and animations on the cutscenes, the voice acting and the little animations of the NPCs in the game. This might not be for everybody, but it definitely helped me get way into the world along with the painterly backgrounds. Love 'm or hate them, I think that the secrets are intuitive enough to find, and this might be one of those games that I will try to get 100% achievements on. (As I don't care for looking up how to do it with a guide.)

I hope this game will do well and inspire teams to make their own, short, charming games that are a worthwhile experience without having to slaver over making 20+ hour games to be worth people's money.
In my personal opinion, this is well worth it.

Played it on launch and loved it, even with some hiccups on my end that on revisiting the game seem to have been smoothened over or patched out entirely. I'm very pleased to say that I have and very likely will continue enjoying the experience this game offers and highly recommend fans of a casual but challenging, fun retro 3d platformer to give this game a chance.

(PS, seeing as the game also has its switch release, I can't say much about it as I haven't played it on that hardware, but I'm confident with the love and care that the game has gotten being patched post-launch so far, that it is a solid platform to get the game on instead of steam if you so desire.

It's been a long time coming, but now that it's fully out as a game it is honestly better than I expected.

Since the gane controls so smoothly I can confidently say that the skill ceiling is high, but that's the best part. You could probably beat the game just fine without ever having to slaver away at getting better at it.
However since the game is such a joy to pick up and play, I'm sure many people will find themselves challenging themselves to gradually try to get better and better.
There's so much little detail and passion put into the visuals, mechanics, customization of controls and so on do definitely give this game a shot.

If it turns out to not be your thing, steam has you covered if you end up wanting to refund it. (and your eligible to do so)

The soundtrack caught me off guard with the variety and quality too.
As close to a reasonable 10/10 game I can think of.

Definitely something I'd say you should give a try.
The gameplay is easy to pick up but hard to master, and very satisfying to get into.
It is 'very' satisfying to give a few good right hooks to the guy in the backline whose projectiles you've been dodging. And at first I was a bit unsure about the save system, but with how the game handles shortcuts, it becomes a lot more satisfying to unlock and find said shortcuts to get through it.
Definitely worth the wait for people who have been waiting for the game since the kickstarter, and people who didn't back it, but still like the art style/gameplay or otherwise.

Overall a large improvement over Borderlands 2, let alone the pre sequel....
Which is saying a lot, i loved borderlands 2 and it's fun co-op for a long time with friends of mine.
I can see see myself sinking more time into this game going in the Difficulties above normal as I felt like the normal difficulty wasn't quite cutting it challenge-wise.

The story's good enough to keep you entertained and interested in the story. Wanting to know how it's going to continue/end. However this was in my opinion the strong part of borderlands 2 and the pre-sequel. The story carried both of those games on the strong antagonist/protagonist/'villain' Handsome Jack.
The Calypso twins do the job being villains, but they're very one-dimensional and well written. ( If the intention is that you 'want' to stop them and knock them down a peg.)
Writing-wise they don't bring too much to the table in an interesting way as far as i'm concerned.

Minor gripes are there but nothing really 'breaking' the immersion or harming the game experience.
Some dialogue feels milked and drawn out, but it's self aware about this too at points, which is a fresh touch to something otherwise tiresome.
Minimap waypoints aren't 'too' clear on how close or far away they are, thus making it hard(er) to judge which is closest by, requiring you to backtrack or stop to look at the map.
Bossfights are a bit stilted at times due to (all of) them having immunity phases in which the enemy just stalls for time it seems.
(These things are just some/the only negatives i've really noticed so far, it's not by any means they drag the game down.)

It's a solid, fun playing experience and I've recommended it to friends.
It feels like there's so much options too play the game besides skill point investment with just the one class i tried (Moze) that i'm keen to check out how the experience differs for other characters.

With the new updates rolled out, namely rollback netcode and the latest patch gameplay wise.
Definitely swung this game back around into a recommendation for me.
Sadly I don't know if we'll see the same amount of player numbers as around launch, but the game is fun to play again. The frustration of delay-based netcode has been yanked out and I can play with people who have pings that would otherwise make online gameplay unbearable.

Other people can probably word the pros and cons of the character-specific changes and additions they have made better than I have. But if this is where they want to take a possible sequel or the future of fighting games including Dragon ball (z/gt/super/etc.) characters I am excited to see what comes of it.

Very nice old game, made to run via a dosbox. Needs some tinkering for some pcs as it may not run well on fullscreen. But it's definately a blast from the past. I highly recommend you try this game out if you like the modern worms. To see the roots more or less. And if you're an old fan; Why haven't you picked it up yet? Had fun playing local multiplayer with some friends.
