Really enjoying this game, but beware highest settings are quite graphics card intensive. Had to get some extra air flow through my ASUS G card to stop it creeping over 70deg! Frame rate is good for the campaigns, but I haven't played on any huge free mode maps with lines linking all available cities and industries yet... The previous game suffered from frame drops late game.

It's great to see that the developers added a Campaign/Scenario mode. The previous game had a very steep learning curve, (it was basicly here's our game, you figure it out!) with no tutorials or guides. Although the missions can be somewhat vague with their wording and require some googling of steam discussions to find out the way to solve puzzles; it's very rewarding to play through and complete the campaign scenarios. Some of the Bonus objectives are just daft and almost stupid in their activities, such as demolishing bushes on a hill at a certain height or re-routing a random horse and cart to form a star shape?? They are very vague with their instructions at times too even with the hints! It would be nice to have a tutorial showing how you can customise an existing station with new platforms and buildings. Because there has been a lot of work gone into making the stations modular, but I just can't figure out what i'm doing with it!

I really enjoy playing in the different Biomes with their own colour palettes, trees, bushes and wildlife. Devs themed the music on the different maps too, but this quickly gets quite repetative and eventually annoying, so i've muted the music for some of my own. It looks like there is a lack of unique buildings for the different themes such as the desert maps, and some of the early era industrial buildings (factories) have some very modern looking props like traffic cones and street lights which look out of place.

Huge thumbs up for the workshop support, I look forward to customising free maps with all kinds of community mods.

Early Access Review
Great fun little arcade smash em up, can't wait to test this with my friends when we finally get allowed out the house thanks to Kung Fu China Flu. Hard to find decent local multiplayer games these days. Reminds me of Robot Wars, with the pits and traps. I think some of the 'arenas' are a bit "instant death", maybe we could have some sort of trigger zone, so if you hit a section of wall it activates the pit in the centre of the map or the spinning death things etc! I would really like to see a return of some Micro Machines style racing too, maybe as a DLC.

Arcade editor is very restrictive and makes playtesting maps very difficult, however recommend installing Steve64b's map editor mod. This will allow a bit more freedom. https://www.nexusmods.com/farcry5/mods/39

This game is great fun and challenging. Nothing more satisfying than seeing the grumpy faces of your commuters when you cancel a train and put on a slow replacement bus service!
