From what I've been actually allowed to play, the game is great fun! In a lot of ways it really feels like Dark Souls 3, which in of itself is not a bad thing; but this game has not really innovated on much that will really make it stand out form any other FromSoft game. It is still very enjoyable for any dark souls veteran or newbie alike.

HOWEVER
The game in its current state is neigh unplayable. PC players have always been shafted by from software's absolutely horrendous PC ports; ever since DS1 when the community had to make DSfix to "fix" the disgusting coding in that spaghetti heap, but this game really shows it. Just in the tutorial area you will have constant stuttering and frame drops, but especially when it comes to bosses. The first "real" boss fight stutters and lags so much that it feels like your fighting FromSoft's horrible coding and your own computers cancer it contracted from it then the actual damn boss itself. Not to mention the general lag when idling or even just going through the menu. FromSoft has released its day one patch, as every single new sparkly """"""""""Finished"""""""""" game from these Triple A companies seems to be so keen on releasing. It seems to have not only not fixed any stuttering issues, but exacerbated them! So it seems this is a problem saddled on us PC players until they can get their ♥♥♥♥ together.

I would be more understanding of these problems if I was running a Potato rig, but I am running on decently beefy hardware (2080ti overclocked with an Intel I9-9900k) on the lowest settings. I have tried a multitude of fixes but nothing has worked, and I and many other people are now just going to have to wait for FromSoft to get their heads out of their ass and fix the game. (That or a modder comes along and fixes everything day 2 lol)

Overall I am a huge fan and love pretty much everything FromSoft puts out, even ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Armored Core. But I am not going to be content with such a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ port. Fix your ♥♥♥♥ Miyazaki-Chan PLEASE.


UPDATE:
After playing and finishing the game I have come to the conclusion to recommend this game. Even though they still really haven't fixed anything; and that there are still many bugs you will have to deal with, (rivers of blood and other arcane weapons not scaling at all) the game is just too good to say otherwise. I believe that fromsoft has done a great job on this game and it is by far their best iteration upon the souls series. Everything from exploration to using new weapons is all great fun. My only gripe would be that the bosses can be kind of ♥♥♥♥ to fight without using summonable ash; and that for some of them they really cranked the difficulty just for the sake of it being hard. (*cough* *cough* Malenia) Oh and that the game still stutters like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, but unlike cyberpunk its actually fun so idc.
