Apparently I'm in the minority, but I'm personally enjoying the game. I'm surprised people just want "ahhaahahah normal explor rpg me want same same thing over and over again." Really, we should all be treating the region-lock as a "new game" every region, perse. Given, Artifacts DEFINITELY need to be buffed to actually give a good sense of progression after you leave a new area, and there needs to be a more consistent way to progress through each region other than kill white enemies till you get a green weapon, but I digress. The exploration in this game is phenomenal, and everything new that you see or any new form of world gen that you discover really impacts your immersion, which is kind of ironic since it's a third person voxel game. It just makes it seem so vast. If I had to recommend an improvement to the progression, maybe try to mix the old and new version of item progression, and enemy progression, buff enemies as regions further from your spawnpoint should be harder to traverse and fight enemies in, rather than making your gear pointless, just nerf it by 1 or 2 stars, rather than completely rendering it useless. I do recommend this game, because I think the regionlocking and vastness of the setting really makes it feel unique, and a really good big breath of fresh air. But I can also understand it not being someone's cup of tea.

After considerable time since my last review of this game. And further growth of who I am as a person, I am ready and willing to admit how cringey my last one was. While my opinion still stands, I'll restate it in a much better manor. Terraria truly is a masterpiece, not only a masterpiece but a timeless masterpiece. The ability to pick the game up and still be excited about it after 1366 hours is mind boggling to me. Given; it's much much more than 1366 hours when you include the numerous playthroughs I've played on Xbox360, mobile, and PS4. This game has been with me for a very large part of my life, and has brought me so many memories. I can still remember the first time I ever played terraria at my cousins house. I was like 10 years old or something, and it was 11PM my cousin had just decked me out with Shadowscale armor and a shadow lance. We were having the time of our lives.

Don't get me wrong, I do have gripes with this game. But when I say the positive outweigh the good I truly and undeniably mean it.

Cons - Fishing is not my thing, might be yours, boring as hell to me.
- Some items take a little too long to farm, especially for the enemy you get it from.
- After playing modded it's almost impossible for me to play vanilla without a dash :^)

- Mining and exploring always feels different and exciting
- Most times, farming for an item to make yourself stronger is extremely satisfying and fun.
- Bosses are extremely fun and always feel like they give you a great power spike
- The progression is extremely fluent and constant.
- Extremely easy to play for 10 hours straight and not notice it.

This game truly holds a special place in my heart. I love you Terraria, a Journey's End is a well fit for such a classic.

This game is honestly endless fun you never get the same run twice unless you use the same seed, and evem then pills and tarot cards are always different
