Freedom's never free

As much as it pains me to say, this port was not ready for release. In my short time thus far with the game I've encountered a fair number of glitches that were not present in both original titles, netcode issues that were not present in both original titles, and more crashes than I care to admit.

While vanilla PC Battlefront does have its fair share of issues, they pale in comparison to the offerings given with this port. Ultimately, at its core, it is still battlefront 1 and 2. Both of which are excellent games. However this port does not do either game any semblance of justice.

I am still optimistic, however. The core loop is still there and still just as fun as it was 20 years ago. In its current state it is very difficult to recommend at all. I believe that with some fixes done to the servers, and polishing out of a lot of the bugs, this could be an excellent port. But it isn't ready, not yet. This likely should have been delayed by at least two weeks, if not a month.

It's halo

The only thing that would make this game better is the addition of deathmatch.

If visual novels were actually good.

If you're looking for a game that takes so much from it's predecessor that said predecessor's maps are natively compatible, this is the game for you.

I'm stunned, but intrigued.

The modern conveniences of a tutorial, and resolution options higher than 1024x800 are quite nice, plus the addition of new gamemodes outside of what you'd see in Q3 or team arena are nice.

If there isn't a lawsuit within the next several months, I'll be stunned.

Sooo.... I finally got around to buying this game yesterday. Today I finished it.

My god, that was honestly one of the better platforming experiences I've had in a while.

A Random Encounter RPG with final fantasy style battles and movement during your turn. You choose which weapons you use for your party, which are all iconic weapons from the first and second encounters, and then the range or cone of fire, and let her rip. The only problem I've encountered so far is frequent crashes during gameplay not allowing me to progress very far. A definite try for any fans of the series.

Trust me when I say this game is awful. It has terrible loading times and over all is a glitchy mess to play. And since it's a free to play game it is legally obligated to have microtransactions in it, and boy are there plenty.
