Crashes on startup. The state of gaming these days. What a joke. Par for the course for AAA I guess. Wait a year and maybe it will be fixed. I'm refunding this garbage.

Way too many bugs for a game of this age and size. Every day there are bugs, some that are annoying, some that break the game.

For example, you will have tools glitch out for no reason and you have to waste time and resources recrafting them.

Or you can lose your save because it becomes corrupted. There's also no way to make duplicates of your saves or manually save onto multiple files like in other games so prevent this. So the only way is to manually find the directory yourself and manually copy paste to make backups or pray that the validate files then restart method works. But you still lose all your progress from the last save onwards.

There are also lots of things that's just annoying, like how you have more frail bones than a 85 year old grandma. No cap. If you fall from anything over 3 ft, you will break your leg, which if not treated in the next 5 minutes, you can get an infection and die.

Edit: Thanks for reaching out CreepyJarDev but I've already spoken with you and your "solution" is to repeatedly lose progress while verifying integrity of the files. You yourself admit it's a common problem. So why not fix it?

Seems like the developers started off with grand ideas. The island is massive. There are lots of potential and somewhat developed spots. But half the bunkers are just empty. Like it seems it was started and then they did 5% of it and ran out of time or something. It's just a strange experience. This happens repeatedly. Same thing with the massive map. Most of it is empty and pointless and wastes time going back and forth. Items are spread out in a way to maximize travel time. It's just a ton of filler.

Stick to the original. It's much more interesting. If I had to use one word to describe this it would be BORING.

Game is ok. Problem is community is very toxic. Tons of quitters. Tons of control freaks who will kick you if you don't do exactly what they say and give them all your money.

I came into this with average expectations. The demo for me had some stuttering issues at the beginning and the graphics seemed meh. I've played Resident Evil 2 remake, 3 remake, 5, 7, and 8. I paid full price, which is usual for me as I'm a cheapskate.

When Resident Evil 4 was originally released, I was a poor college kid and was too poor and cheap to buy it, ever. So for me this game is new. I did buy it for $5 briefly a few years ago but refunded it right away because the graphics was so bad.

First of all, the performance has been great. I had a bit of stuttering in the first 30 seconds of the cinematic. I've not had any since. Not one. I have over 7 hours currently.

Graphics wise it's not bad.

Content seems so far to be good. I feel like I'm getting good value and my money's worth. I'm 7 hours in and am just over halfway through the game.

Gameplay wise it's not bad. My only gripe is when you are on fire or struck you stagger a bit and they can still hit you, which while realistic is really stupid since they can just combo attack you to death from full health and all you can do is frustratingly watch. What's the point of having health if they can essentially just kill you with a string of one hit combos?

I haven't noticed any wokeism stuff, which is nice.

Overall I have no regrets about buying this game right after release and at full price, something I never do.

Not worth the price.

UI is one of the worst I've ever seen. Game also gives me nausea and headache. Islands are TINY. Like 5 trees 3 bushes tiny.

Boring. Lacks depth. Tedious. Just isn't fun.

Crashes constantly and then you get to restart the entire level all over again. By far the most unstable game I've ever played in my life and this includes terrible games like some of the Total War games that were a mess when first released. I've crashed close to ten times in the last 5 or 6 hours.

Also the AI is dumb as ♥♥♥♥. Will stand there and literally do nothing. Won't shoot. Won't heal. Won't help. Just stands there. Or sometimes it tries to run through the enemy, gets you killed, and you can't get the S score because of too many deaths. Also it wastes a ton of your heals because it's dumb as ♥♥♥♥.
