Starfield has about 20 hours of fresh gameplay, everything after that gets repetitive and monotonous. One good thing Starfield did right was making me appreciate their older games so much more.

Early Access Review
Honestly, I don't know where to start. I don't typically write reviews but I feel this game is worth it.

Since I was a kid, I always loved space games, especially games like Dark Colony, Tachyon, Star Craft, etc. I started playing the game Planetbase about the time that No Man's Sky came out. I didn't know anything about No Man's Sky until right before it was released and the hype was high and I'll admit, I was intrigued. Shortly after the game's release came the terrible reviews that were more than enough to disinterest me, but I still had a craving for a survival/creative/space sim. I started doing my research and stumbled upon the little gem known as Empyrion.

I started playing Empyrion around Alpha V4 or V5. Back then the game had a really steep learning curve (it still does but not as bad), but I didn't let that perturb me. Once I found out that you could build vessels and/or structures, upload the blueprints to the Steam Workshop, and then download other's creations and use them in survival mode, I quickly changed course to creative. Of all the time I've got in the game, I'd say 95% of it has been strictly spent in creative mode. That's just how fantastic the creative mode alone is!

The game has made a TON of progress since I first started playing and they haven't seemed to have lost steam yet. One of the things I love best about this game is the developers legitimately listen to their fans. Before every new release, they always have a poll asking the fanbase what they want to see the most. Unlike other developers, these folks actually follow through. Even if your request didn't make the cut, they most likely will release it in other updates.

Please keep in mind, this game is still in Alpha so it's not done yet. With that being said, they really could just release the game as is and it would still be fantastic. It's not without it's bugs but it's nowhere as terrible as Ark or PUBG, ESPECIALLY since they've been fully released and this is still in Alpha.

In an effort to prevent this review from becoming a novel, buy this game. It's got endless potential and has a little bit for everyone.

Empyrion-Galactic Survival has my rubber stamp of approval.
