A refreshing new DLC from CA. Lots of content, the campaign is great and unique, and the units are sick. Love it, definitely recommend.

War Thunder is a game with amazing potential for enjoyment, but unfortunately it is run by greedy administration who want to squeeze every dollar out of you that they can. It's free to play, meaning they have to make their income elsewhere outside of the initial transaction. Instead of opting for making a fun game with fair practices leading to a loyal and happy player-base that want to support the game, they've gone with the "Make every player angry enough in hopes that some of them purchase ways to get ahead" option. Until they stop lying to the community, as they've done for years, and make the game fun like it used to be, I cannot recommend it. It's not worth the stress and frustration that inherently comes with playing it in its current state. If you do play, do not purchase a thing. They are not the company you want to support right now. I'll change this review if they ever get around to fixing the game and following through with their word for once.

6/14/23 Edit: Roadmap of changes to economy looks promising, hoping they stick to it.

The single best soft-bodied vehicle simulator game in existence. Fills a niche no other company has dared to even attempt. Unlimited replay value, effectively unlimited customization options, a large amount of vehicles to play with, scenarios to test, etc.

The most effective way to have fun in this game is to select sandbox, pick a map, then select a vehicle you want to drive. Try following traffic rules, knock your front right tire out of alignment, smash into a wall at 97mph in a rage. Reset the damage to your car, slap a turbo in it, smash into a wall at 123mph this time. Reset, adjust suspension ride height, put all-terrain tires on the wheels, drive off road, smash into a tree at 64mph. Reset, fine tune bump dampening, rebound, spring rate, roll bar stiffness, camber, caster, toe, track width, remove weight by cutting the fenders and bumpers, throw on a spoiler, install heavy duty engine components, a new exhaust, swap out the transfer case for AWD, replace open differentials with limited slip, flatten out the torque curve, drive off road, set new record lap times, then end it with a nice tree smash at 188mph. Any other games come to mind? No? It's one of a kind.

Extremely fun, especially with friends, though there is limited content and a few major bugs (that have been acknowledged by the devs). This game has tons of potential, but be prepared to practice. I'm only just now starting to get the hang of flying the ship, and I'm 9 hours in. It's incredibly rewarding once you do. Seems most of the negative reviews are from people who expected to be decent within the first few minutes of playing. It definitely doesn't feel slow when you're weaving in and out of tiny gaps in terrain, trying to lose your tail.

If you want to own a car worth 1 million dollars in game, you'd have to grind boring missions for about 10 hours... implying you have no problems with people killing you and resetting some or all of the progress you made, connection drops, long load times, etc. And let me tell you, you will have these problems. Want to own one of the newest cars in the recent update? Costs 4 million. Have fun spending 40+ hours grinding ingame or $60+ of your real money (price of the game itself) to get it. That doesn't include hunderds of thousands for the car's upgrades, because you're never done spending in this game. Oh, and if you want to be able to grind missions and make 100,000 an hour, you have to spend millions on an office and warehouses. Great game, ruined by R*

Subnautica is a world where I can explore, alone. Explore vast underwater tunnels at the bottom of the ocean 300 meters down, build an underwater base with glass rooms and stare out at the alien fauna swimming by. Build a submarine-like vehicle caleed a seamoth, and use it to hunt down more materials and blueprints. Grow your own underwater, outdoor, or indoor gardens with cool alien flowers or tasty fruits and vegetables for sustinance. Then check the clock and realize it's 3am and you've got to be up in four hours.
