Straight up terrible. I don't review games generally, and if you've been to my youtube channel you know I love most indie games, it's my jam, I'm not normally into bullet hell twin sticks but I can enjoy them geometry wars is one of my favourite games from the XBLA days.

Do not play this.

I made it to Level 5 the money men stage and the game is so poorly implemented that when there was a lot of the enemies on screen whenever I got a kill my guy would stop moving temporarily, but I'd still receive damage.

Be careful, read the system requirements, because despite being just a base builder this game requires *high-end* system requirements. Like I have a mid tier gaming PC, it's not bad, I play most games on Ultra, But even then this game slows down to like half speed.

If you have a low-end PC you're straight *♥♥♥♥♥♥*.

While fun and certainly a great experience like the previous three campaigns. Taco bros differs in the way of that damnable bell. It summons like 7000 customers all at the same time meaning if you don't actively pace yourselves on getting food out you fall apart almost immediately.

The previous campaigns all had challenges but nowhere near as unforgivably hard as Taco Bros. While I recommend it to those that want new content, I warn that it's overwhelmingly stressful at times.

So in a previous review (which i can't find, not sure I hit submit on it) I talked about how the writing was awful, but in a dumb fun way, and that unlike the game Crush Crush which is an autoclicker, this game has an engaging minigame of tile matching.

Well, I seemed to be a bit premature, because the minigame needs some severe balancing. You get 20 turns in order to try and get the score you require, but it raises for every single victory across any girl in the game, so eventually I found myself in a perpetual state of failure because I couldn't make 15 000 points in 20 turns, especially when a lot of those turns are spent getting like 80 or no points at a time.

So yeah, this will never be fixed or addressed, but this game was too easy at the start, and then the difficulty became a brick wall.

Even ignoring all the other faults, avoid this game for it's badly implemented difficulty curve.

Surprisingly fun. Figured it'd just be another waste-of-time porn replacement, but there's an actual puzzle game hidden in there somewhere. Perfect waste of an hour or so.

I'm currently doing a let's play where you'll be able to see my immediate thoughts and opinions on the game as I play: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0OGg7EpZy4k&list=PLXZSyUUnQPp2r9IGIorQxpdxAuOJtDmci

But in short I love this game.

I know what you're thinking, and no, you don't want to buy this game, just look up some porn, it'll be a MUCH better experience.

First of all, the gameplay is badly implemented. There's puzzles with solutions you're just expected to know, even if you've exhausted everything you can think of. The 'cutscenes' have several seconds of black screen where it loads the next portion of itself, similar to a late 1980's game, but still somehow worse.

And let's not even talk about the sound design. Wow is it just horrible.

It's unforgiving, and not in a good way, it's badly designed, and the only reason you bought it, for the T&A isn't even all that good because it's low resolution. and practically skips over it to get back to the gameplay.

Valortha is a slap in the face to both gamers and perverts alike by being ♥♥♥♥♥♥ in both regards. And Yes I know I just said that this 'game' has lower production value than most real life actual porn. It's terrible for 15 year old boys, let alone literally anyone else.

They should pay you to QA test this pile of turds, but instead they ask you for 20 of your dollars you could spend on anything else.

Literally nothing about the last hour of my life was any good, and I took a 20 minute break to watch a youtube video because I got bored.

Early Access Review
Do you like music? Good, glad to hear it. Hope you've spent years and years building up your playlist of hundreds or thousands of songs, because if so then this is the perfect game for you.

Imagine DDR or Osu, but instead of your feet or percision mouse clicks, your arrow keys (or wasd or I guess gamepad if you're a pleb) are your armour aginst the oncoming tide of gameplay.

Now the algorithm isn't air tight, it won't always recognize every single not,e but that's fine, there's a mode called "Energy Peaks" which the more hours of this game you'll play you'll learn to hate and then love and then hate again and then love again and then hate and love and so on. All for completely different reasons. It oddly zigzags in difficulty compared to the actual tempo songs.

Regardless? I love this game, it's a perfect excuse to listen to music while also actively doing something. It took me kind of a long *long* time to actually get to a point where I consider myself good in any regard, but it was only 10-15 hours before I got my first perfect, so it's not that big of a deal, I'm just a perfectionist. XD

I also do a Youtube series for this game where I post the songs I play (Dominodude55) which currently has upwards to 900 songs, and I take requests.

---

In short, this is a game that doesn't have a lot to it, you access your songs, and hit the arrow keys at the same rate as they fly by on your screen. If that doesn't interest you then it's not worth the buy because it's not exactly revolutionary in any regard. That said, if you love music, enjoy rhythm games, or are just a stubborn person that has a history of deeply needing to master every game you can find, Melody's Escape is the perfect escape for you.
