I'm using this for my game, and it's fantastic! It's in-style and it's very versatile.

What really makes this poignant is the disabled options. As someone who's kind of a sucker for fourth-wall muckery, actually having the available options increasingly disabled as you sink deeper and deeper into your own depression is a striking way to impart a feeling of helplessness, in addition to the pointless status indicators at the bottom of the screen-- you KNOW you should probably see a doctor and get medication, but you can't bring yourself to. The whole game, I was almost certain I would reach a point when the only option left would kill me. But I suppose, even if there's no real end, staying alive is a triumph in itself. With a "game" like this, it's easy to end up just being extremely pretentious, but here, you can tell that there's some real understanding behind this. The fact that it presents an atmosphere of emptiness rather than darkness makes it all the more striking as well.

Of course, I'm probably not qualified to speak on this, as I have not had to deal with depression personally. So take my opinion with a grain of salt.

All in all, it's an interesting experience. Not a "game", but an experience.

(Also, I do not care about the drama that transpired after this.)
